Having these kind of storylines gives pundits something to talk about instead of actually having to break down film and study the teams playing. So the whole over reaction to replacement officials is going to continue until they go away because NFL analysts and journalists are in essence lazy. It's easier to pick apart a bad call rather than any of the many things that happen on any given play

The roughing the passer call was the right call though. Ever since Tom Brady got hurt in Week One, it has been illegal to hit the QB below the waist unless you are pushed into the legs. Walden dove right at Wilson's left knee.
