what part of his quote said Smith was terrible? Who said he was terrible? the vikings secondary is terrible. they're awful, and smith couldn't exploit them, that's what everyone's point here is...

He still sucks. 3 games of decent play does not take away a year of atrocious play. Also, he's still struggling to complete half his passes.

Smith played poorly. He couldn't take over the game (against a **** secondary, sorry vikings fans, love ya, but it's true, no offense). That's what teams need their QB's to do. The Vikes suffocated the short throws, no run after catch really, and dared smith to take over and beat them down the field. He wasn't able to do that, which is why he gets the bus driver label. I'm not re-hashing this again, it's my standpoint.
Not sure many people would disagree.

To go deep you need time to let the play develop, which the 49ers offensive line was not giving. That is why every pass was a quick, short pass. This is ridiculous. If Akers' field goal isn't blocked, Whitner and Culliver don't drop those easy interceptions or Frank Gore doesn't fumble early in the 4th quarter at midfield are we even having this conversation?

I didn't call him terrible, just said he couldn't push the ball down the field. That's my concern with the 49ers, they can't get big chunks of yards when they need to or come from behind. I think Alex Smith is a part of that problem.

He's not bad but he's certainly not good and they could definitely improve at the position.

Nobody covering Wallace, that's a recipe for a good defense.

Nevermind, on the replay I see it's because the safety got hurt.

And, apparently, Smith is the only player on the 49ers offense. I love how he gets no credit when they win, even if he plays great, but gets all of the blame when they lose, even if he isn't the biggest problem.

Watch him rush 3 and play Cover 2. I hate him so much.
