Akeem Ayers is coming along pretty nicely so far for the Titans this year, but it's hard to call anyone underrated on this trainwreck of a D.

No, it's a matter of comparing a very good player to the elite in the league that people get unrealistic expectations. They act like if he's not putting up sack numbers like them then he's a bust but he's still a +\- 10 sack guy so im not sure wat more you could want as a fan.

People are actually disappointed in Orakpo? If anything I thought he was a 4-3 only guy and have been pretty surprised and impressed with his consistent play in their 3-4. I think he and Kerrigan are one of the better pass rushing pairs in the NFL right now.

For Detroit, Chris Houston. Every week he comes in, does his job well and has good coverage but when the safeties get beat/burnt this season without Delmas(against Ten/SF) this year and Alphonso Smith/Eric Wright/Brandon McDoanld/Spievey got toasted last year, everyone assumes Detroit has zero good CBs.

They have one good CB. Chris Houston and they missed him last year when he got hurt, and from the 2nd Quarter on in the playoff game and the first 2 games this year. He played great against the Titans and Vikings so far, got picks first 10 weeks last year and had good coverage and was solid in 2010.

Probably in the more unknown category but undrafted rookie Jerrell Freeman is having a terrific season

Clearly, all those years behind Ed Reed paid off.

*edit

opps, thought the thread title was "undersized and awful"

And the best part is he's still starting! Good job, Rivera!
