Two weeks in a row of fan support at away games for the Bears. Pretty crazy.

This is surprising. I don't see a lot of Bears fans down here and most of the Jaguar fans I know have pretty much given up on the season already. Turns out I am not going to the game, btw. I forgot that the Jags play at 4:00. Figures that one of the games I actually want to go to would be at the same time as the 49ers game

With this news leaking though, I wonder if the Jets do it so quickly. Do they wait another couple of weeks for Sanchez to royally wet the bed first so it can look remotely justified?
Or do they just do it right away and have even more ppl laugh at them?

Depends on if they (Woody) are making the move because they (Woody) thinks that Tebow really gives them a better chance of winning rather or if it's just a publicity stunt.
There's no reason to keep floundering under Sanchez and tack on a few more losses if they really think Tebow will lead to more victories.

he had one of those passes in denver. then he had some wr screens that beybey took the rest of the way. he'll run 40 yards for a first down, and the news will act like he's probably the best qb in nfl history. half of the actual nfl 'fans' will pretend this is hilarious and somehow good for the game. it will continue as a direct result.

Let's be honest, the coaching staff does not think Tebow will help them win.
This move will be made only because Woody wants it to. So the question is, is he arrogant enough to demand that it happen right away? Or does he attempt to make this look like a "football decision" by letting Sanchez ride and die for another 2 to 3 weeks?
Remember, 2-5 still looks salvageable on paper.

I don't know why they passed on Lamar Miller like four times. He'd be their best offensive player right now.

Like I said when the Broncos were first trying to trade Tebow, I don't think anyone in the football operations side of things for any NFL team wanted anything to do with him. You literally have to change everything you do on the field to work with Tebow and, unless you have a future HoFer at QB, the fans and media will demand that Tebow be inserted at the first sign of struggling by the incumbent starter. But owners see money and attention in Tebow, and Woody Johnson wants attention more than anything.
I think it's pretty clear that Sanchez will still start this week on Monday night against Houston, and he will likely get destroyed. Their run game does nothing and he has no one worth a damn to throw to. The Texans, at home, should roll over the Jets.
That should be "football decision" justification enough for Woody to demand that Tebow start over Sanchez, getting exactly what he wants in the process.

You GUYS!!!
Woody is not that dumb, now think of this like oceans 11 sequence shots.
Tim Tebow is doing enough to win games, but everyone knows underneath he really isn't all that great. He gets raped by the Pats on the reg.
Manning comes to town, Tebow on block.
Jets pick up Tebow, not to hurt Sanchez feelings they offer contract.
Now from here the story can go one of 2 ways.
Sanchez pans out, Woody and team look like geniuses.
Sanchez flames out. In comes the savior Tebow. But in the back of Woody's mind, he knows Tebow sucks. But this will get the team enough pub to keep the dollar flowing, and enough suck-itude to end up in the top 5 pick. Tebow gets owned by Pats twice, everyone hops off the bandwagon. This is the right timing where Woody jumps in and fires his coach. His coach who has been over hyping this team for what seems like forever.
Offseason rolls around, GM is fired and a new team is finally brought it, to reconstruct the jets.
Woody is just trolling everyone.

Totally cereal. Once Tebow comes in that running game will break out. Letting the defense play more aggressively because they get more time to rest. Add some late game Tebow magic, and that's a team that pushes for the Wild Card...for a couple of weeks...

JJ Watt is going to literally snap Mark Sanchez in half. This probably belongs in that DL thread, but good god is he unreal. I know I'm late to the party, but I love everything about the dude.

I'm ready for Tebowzzzz takeover! If the Jets would have started him from day 1 they would be 4-0. Tebowzzzz would have led them to the first 19-0 season ever.

Just wanted to say congratulations to AJ Green for being named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month! First Bengal since Carson Palmer in 2005
