A) You can probably get him signed into something for a more reasonable rate now than if you wait to have to battle teams for his signature in the offseason
B) You guarantee you get him, in the offseason you never know what's going to happen, if you trade for and extend him, you've guaranteed you'll get him
C) They have an inexperienced rookie QB, giving him all of the help they can to make it easier for him to learn is good idea. They might not make the playoffs or even stay at .500, but the benefit to the their Tannehill if he and Bowe click could be huge.

Yeah, I thought of those things. I don't really know why he would sign a longterm deal now on the cheap when all he has to do is play a few more games and hit the open market.

It's not necessarily on the cheap if eh signs for less than he'll get in the frenzy of free agency, but I'd imagine the usual reasons, security and liking his new home.

In any event, I don't see those things being worth more than a 2nd, unless they can maybe work out a deal beforehand (I'm not sure what the deadline is for extensions during the season).

Basically, the owners colluded not to go over a certain salary cap number. The Cowboys and Redskins said **** that and got punished by Goodell for stepping out of line. You can't cheat a salary cap that didn't exist.

Oakland was at 55% heading into the Atlanta game last week.

Ben has been so awesome on third down this year. It looks even better when you're watching the game cause they're almost all 3rd and 7 or more cause the run game has been simply terrible.
Shame the defense sucks now.

Ben is so much fun to watch. Just the sequence of events that happen in just one play are so entertaining.
-Snap the ball
-Make reads...protection breaks down after making 1st read
-Run around like a headless chicken
-Take hit
-Throw bomb while taking said hit
-Complete 3rd and 12 for 1st down.

Better than the sequence of events Eagles fans must endure.
- Snap ball
- 3 defenders already through line
- Vick makes zero reads, starts scrambling
- Sacked
- 3rd and 12
- Fumble ball, turn over
- Broadcasters "time to get rid of Vick"

"Reads? What are these reads?" asks Ben. I think it was BBD who gave the most accurate description of a Steelers pass play recently.
- Snap the ball
- Ben fails to read the defense
- Protection breaks down
- Ben dodges defenders for several seconds
- Defensive coverage breaks down as Ben buys time
- Receiver coming back to the ball finds a hole to squat in
- With several defenders clinging to him, Ben launches pass
- Convert 3rd down, repeat

Well, I also have James Jones (picked him up after the Jennings injury).
Anyone else want to weigh in on the Josh Gordon/Randall Cobb choice in Fantasy?

Is he already on your starting roster, or is he one of the ones you're debating to start at your flex position? Either way, i don't think you can go wrong with them. A-Rod seems to be hitting his groove and both of these guys get plenty of looks. Cobb has big-play ability, while Jones finds the endzone more often. It's a coin flip.

My starters are James Jones and Mike Wallace. My second TE is worthless and my other RB is on bye week. That leaves my back up WRs: Bowe (on bye) or Gordon/Cobb. I can get Cobb or Gordon if I want them, as either will be a free agent because no one wants either.

Easily Cobb. Gordon isn't going to catch a 70 yard TD every week and that's what he's been relying on.

decided to roll with Cobb, thanks guys.
Rodgers is my fantasy QB, too, and because I am a Niners fan, I hate to admit it, but I really hoping that the Packers obliterate the Rams.

How is Cobb a free agent? Are you in an 8 man league?

If you have a bench spot you can clear, i'd pick up Gordon as well. As the season progresses, his targets will continue to go up and he has huge play ability.

No, most the league just doesn't obsess over football like we do.
I'd keep both but I want to see what happens with Bowe and I am limited to only 4 WRs. (13 team league)
