I think this is the first time Bama has trailed in a game since 1934 if my calculations are correct.

I think some do, but in general the BCS braintrust selected models that couldn't be skewed by teams running up the score. At the time, it made sense because elite teams (Spurrier) were notorious for scheduling crap teams and then hanging 60 points on them; but in reality, margin of victory is probably the best predictor of future success.

If LSU beats Alabama, I see a a scenario like last year, where Alabama barely loses ranking spot (1 to like 3), and LSU jumps in the top 4, and if Alabama gets revenge and beats A&M badly, right back into another conversation between Alabama and LSU in the title game. So many people will be pissed off at that though. I personally think the top 4 turns into the top 6, with Georgia and Florida being thrown into the mix.
The chaotic person in me is calling for this.

Klein didn't have a spectacular game, could open up the Heisman door for Barner after his ridiculous game.

I think Les Miles is seeing how many idiotic calls he can make in a game.

Les Miles is a ******. I can't believe I ever wanted him as Michigan's coach.

Is anyone really surprised about the way Les Miles handled that 4th down?

Why does Les Miles want to lose so badly?

Yea but Barner isn't as pivotal to his teams success. Oregon has a ton of weapons while Klein is the catalyst for the KSU offense.

Why not simply use the quarterback on that play? He's huge, and on that play athleticism is kind of mute.

Incredibly dumb play call there. Mind boggling.

I don't necessarily disagree with going for it. But why put a runningback under center? With Mettenburger back there, Bama has to worry about a QB sneak, quick FB give, RB run, or even play action. Instead, the defense knows exactly what's coming. Les Miles needs to stop trying to be cute and actually start being a good coach.

If you do that play you do it in the shotgun and run the option with Ford.
