Palmer gets a bad rap unnecessarily, he's certainly better than the game managers of the NFL, but he is not a Manning/Brees who can carry a team with no running game. Palmer has to have a good running game to win.
Palmer can rack up lots of yards no doubt, but he just makes inexplicable mistakes too often. Hes not afraid to gun into tight windows and has the arm to complete almost any pass, but it leads to a lot of turnovers. I dont think any QB in the league throws more WTF was he thinking INTs than Palmer.
And McFadden is hurt again, as is Mike Goodson, and Taiwan Jones is awful, so well need a big game from Carson to win, and more importantly, a mistake-free game. Against the Saints, I think this is possible. For whatever reason, Im picking the Raiders to rise to the occasion, and for the Saints to have a letdown after their big win over the falcons.
