I mostly just read on here so I didn't have the pleasure of getting to know him outside of his posts but the news of losing such a quality poster and, evidently, an individual is sad. To learn he was a mere 24 on Christmas Ever is quite humbling as I, God willing, look to turn 25 in April.

If sports have taught us anything it's that there is a lesson in every loss. Such is life. Take care of yourselves, NFLDC, for TheManInBlack.

Just so those who asked me directly and everyone else who was curious knows, we didn't get Jakob's family flowers. Instead, we are doing something different; something a little more permanent, as it's not only a little late, but I'm sure they've had their fill of flora. I ordered it the other day, and I've got it right here in front of me. All that's left is to write a card and ship it to them. If you want to contribute, then instead make a donation to the Children's Tumor Foundation, as his family has requested. You can follow this link directly to the donation page. Just be sure to note "In memory of Jakob Murphy" when prompted for the "Tribute Information" at the bottom. It's a classy gesture made by a grieving family, so it'd be nice if everyone responded by giving something, even if it's just a little. We even have forum members who have battled cancers and tumors, such as Giantfan1080, nobodyinparticular, and myself, and I'm sure lots here have been affected by the diseases in one way or another, so there are many reasons to donate. If you want an address so the CTF can send a card to his family telling them about the donation in Jakob's name, or even if you just feel compelled to send them a card yourself, then PM me and I'll pass on their address. I just don't want to post their address publicly out of respect for his family's privacy.

In the card, I'll be sure to include the link to this thread, so his family can stop by. I may even make an account for them later, and include the name and password so they can make a post should they choose to do so. That way they don't have to be bothered with registering.
