Beeteedubs, and I think I can speak for Eagles fans on this too: never pick the Chiefs to win anything ever again!

I have no idea what you are talking about. I wasn't high on the Chiefs at all last off-season.

I would argue that our starting QB is in fact Brady Quinn and NOT Matt Cassel, but even thinking that made me too depressed and I started to cry.
Thanks jerk. :'(

Plot twist, Chiefs go defense in the draft, pass on all QB's and trot out Quinn next year.

And announce that they have a lot of confidence on the young player they've been developing. Yeah, that sounds about right.

Half the league ends up pro bowlers by the time the actual game rolls around. No need to get upset. All Pro is what still has some legitimacy.

It's crazy because this almost never happens in pro bowl voting, where good players on teams with awful records make it to Hawaii.
Also bizarre that not one player from the league's top ranked D earned PB recognition.
It's a positive sign for the Chiefs and if they can just find their QB and HC, I think they could turn things around very quickly.
KC is one of the better HC jobs out there.
BTW I still like Ricky Stanzi.

Eric Berry in no way deserves to be in the Pro Bowl, so there's that.

Still no Pro Bowls for Marques Colston despite having over 1000 yards in six out of his seven seasons in the NFL. Not saying he deserved it this year, but one would think he would have at least made one by now.

I know I'll take heat for this, but I've never seen Colston as a pro bowl caliber player. He runs good routes but he's more of a posession guy and his hands seem shaky at times. I also think he could be a byproduct of Brees' mastery.

I was really hoping that Janoris Jenkins would get a nod as a rookie, with 4 defensive touchdowns. Granted, at times he has very much looked like a rookie, but he has been a great playmaker. Maybe he will get a spot as an alternate?
Speaking of Pro Bowl alternates, can someone tell me...if a guy gets in as an alternate due to a star deciding not to show up, what shows up on his career resume? Is there an italic stating that he was an alternate, or does it just say he made the Pro Bowl?

I don't think there's anything added to his career stats. At least, it doesn't show up on pro-football-reference.com, which is where I (and many others) typically go when looking that stuff up. It's more a matter of saying "so-and-so went to the Pro Bowl in X year," but other players dropping out shouldn't mean an alternate is then recognized historically, because it's not about playing in the pointless game so much as being voted to the roster in the first place. Guys who don't play in the game due to injury or playing in the Super Bowl (or whatever else) are recognized as Pro Bowlers if they get voted in.

Gotcha. I have often wondered if players purposely drop out to aid them in their contract situations. It is no secret that players who make the Pro Bowl generally get a bigger contract than those that don't. Hence, more Pro Bowlers=bigger contracts.

I always thought Colston's hands were his best attributes. Maybe he is a byproduct of Brees essentially "throwing him" open. But he does produce at least and get his fair share of touchdowns in the redzone. I could see someone having the notion that he isn't as good as his numbers indicate. I think he is a good receiver though.

Colston, to me, epitomizes where the game has come to. I can easily see him finishing with career numbers of 1100/13000/80 and never making a Pro Bowl, nor having any chance of ever getting into the Hall of Fame.

Art Monk got in the hall of fame for accumulating stats, and he was about the caliber of Colston in relation to the rest of the league.
