Flacco played a fantastic game. There have been much worse MVP picks. I wouldn't dwell on that too much. Just thought Jones was better.

Was i the only one that thought the intentional safety gave the Niners a better chance to win. (Which they ultimately didn't so it doesnt matter....)

I hear your plea but who do you give it too then. The WRs all had some serious drops and the running game was maybe average. Who do you give it to if not Flacco.

4 seconds to complete a miracle vs about 7 (after the punt)? No chance in hell.

True.... for the most part, the zebra's swallowed their whistles.
Those hugs you mention, rewatch the game and focus on the 49ers OL... you'll see tons of holds by that massive OL, and never once was there a holding call. Not once. Perfect textbook blocking.

No the call was a brilliant, no-brainer.
You don't take a chance at a blocked punt.
You don't take a chance at a shank.
You don't take a chance at a DeSean Jackson PR for TD to kill you.
I was amazed he was able to kill that many seconds though running around. Niners were asleep there?

Hopefully he doesn't party too hard tonight or he might have to come back next season. :D
The safety play-call was definitely the way to go. Koch looked like he was just going to sit on it then decided to dance.

Maybe im crazy but I thought the Niners should have fair caught and threw a quick sideline pass and gone for a long FG to tie. Better chance than a hail mary IMO if the Ravens had punted.

See that's the thing, it turned out great because he was luckily able to run so much time off. But if the Niners had a better rush and been able to get him quicker it could have been bad. But again everything worked out fine so it doesnt matter.

No they were all tackled and held there. It was funny. Had no bearing on the outcome and I hold no ill-will towards the referees. Frustrated as a fan, but that's football.

Maybe it's been mentioned but if you are going to take a safety anyways so holding in the endzone doesn't matter the Ravens might as well tackled their guys and kept them from getting up.

Joe Flacco has the 8th highest Super Bowl passer rating in history. It's the highest since 1995...people still think he didn't deserve the MVP.
SMDH.

Correct. NFL doesn't stop time on a holding penalty so it was actually REALLY smart to do so.

You are crazy. Ginn caught it at the 19. Let's say Akers can kick a 70 yarder (unlikely). They still have to get to the 43 to even have the chance at a ridiculously improbable field goal.. There were 4 seconds left. You can't throw the ball 24 yards in three seconds and get out of bounds.

Absolutely. Sadly some have thought the 49ers were asleep. They were at times this game, but not on that play.

Come on passer rating as proof? Tony Romo is a top 5 all-time QB then. And Phil Simms with his 150.92 in Super Bowl 21 makes him the best SB QB of ALL-TIME.
I'm not disagreeing with Flacco being MVP; you don't give it to a WR unless they put up god-like numbers but don't use passer rating as proof.

Congrats to the Ravens and their fans. Really glad Anquan won a ring! And Flacco played lights out.

Yes, Phil Simms did have the best single SB as a QB. 88% completion %, 3 TDs, no INTs, 10.72 YPA. So? That's an insane game.
