I respectfully disagree. I think Flacco played a heck of a game. He threw the ball well and played with a lot of poise and confidence. It was definitely his team out there. He has developed good connections with his receivers, and had several nice hookups with both Pitta and Dickson.

No. It doesn't ****** work that way. You can't take away Jones'(incredible) TD plays yet include Flacco's(ordinary) TD plays.

Jones made two plays, one of which Flacco was on the other end of. Flacco also hit Bolden 6 times for 104 yards and a TD, Pitta 4 times for 26 and a TD, Dickson 2-for-36, Smith 2-for-35, and his RB's 7-for-29. He made plays all day. 3 TD's, no turnovers. 66% completions, 8.7 ypa, 287 yards, 124 passer rating. That's a great game by anyone's standards. Yet you're trying to convince me that the MVP should go to a guy who made two plays? Once again, I respectfully disagree. I think Flacco was the player of the game, and I don't think he was handed the award just because he was the QB on the winning team.

It wasn't just that Jones make two plays though. Jones made the two biggest plays of the game. That's the MVP.

Randy Moss alligator arming that pass that resulted in an interception by Reed was just foul. Greatest receiver of all time? Yeah okay dude.

Flacco made a ton of good plays and was the MVP. Jones was awesome and made some impact plays, but his was Flacco's game and win.

Kruger and Flacco bout to get paid. Someone with pay a lot for a guy who can be a decent pass rusher.

Kaep played very well outside that random pick. 49ers were absolutely rolling after the lights came back on.

Great game 49es fans. Hope to see you again next year.

People in here are maaaaaad yo.

bad no-call on the mugging of Crabtree at the end, but let's be real: I saw at least 3 plays where the 49er DB's got away with illegal contact/holding/DPI that weren't called, and the 49er massive OL never ever held. Not once.

Not only that, the 49ers starting 5 OL never once had a single missed game this year. That's horse shoe up your ass lucky.

And they took out Haloti Ngata with a chop block to the ACL by Alex Boone, which remarkably was also not a penalty.

Congrats to the AFC North Ravens.

Now it's time to pay Flacco.
Not to mention the late hit on Flacco out of bounds that should have given the Ravens a first down, but with it not being called they ended up kicking a FG.

I'm no Flacco supporter, but the man was completely lights out this postseason. Give the man his due; he deserves that MVP award.

Great game all around though. Probably one of the better Super Bowls in recent years. Not a fan of either team but my heart was racing on that last drive for San Fran.

The pass wasn't really that close to him. Sure, it looks like it was catchable in super slow motion, but in full speed, that's a real hard ball to get your hands on. Spin it however you like, but that was an inaccurate pass from Kaepernick. Moss in 2013 is not prime Moss.

It's not enough to just throw in his general vicinity anymore. Kaepernick, Harbaugh and everyone in the 49ers offense should know that, it's not like he was playing at an all-world level prior to the SB, and decided to not show up yesterday. He's not capable of those kinds of athletic catches anymore. In my opinion that turnover is on Kaepernick.

That was a really good game yesterday. I agree with the comment the page before saying that Kaep's inexperience hurt the team. The first half he would make a good throw every once in a while but overall looked tentative until the lights came back on. Had he played that way all game, I think the 49ers would have won.

Also, I think Jones should have been MVP. The guy only made two plays, but without them would the Ravens have won? 14pts is huge when you win by 3. Flacco played well, but it was Jones huge plays that pushed the Ravens over the edge.

Without Flacco would the Ravens have won? He made some great throws, that audible on 3rd down was so important, he kept that going when the run game wasn't working well, when receivers dropped his passes. I get why people think Jones should have been MVP, but Flacco was the heart of that game for the Ravens.

Plus people act like 2 plays decided the game. So I guess plays like the 3rd and 1 where Flacco had to place a perfectly thrown ball to Boldin outside the numbers doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. He made plays like that the entire game long, and especially on 3rd down. It's stupid to try and say that someone who made 2 plays was more important then somebody who made them all game long.

It be different if he was driving the bus all game but that wasn't the case.

Another thing that dawned on me was Ozzie Newsome has a long off-season ahead of him. He's got some contracts to dish out, re-structuring, and roster shuffling. It's nice to win a SB before that, but this is a pretty huge off-season for them.

Harbaugh should've called a jet sweep read option with James in there on 2nd or 3rd down...rolling Kaepernick out was a poor decision given his indecisiveness and limiting the field to work with.

Remember the play where Flacco was being chased out of bounds and looked like he was gonna throw it away, but instead threw an incredible deep ball to Boldin? Or that 3rd and 1 audible? He was making plays all game. There's no way a KR/WR that made 2 big plays is going to win MVP over his QB if the QB played a great game. QB is the most important and visible player on the field, just the way it is, accept it.

I think there are 6 main guys they'd love to have back;

Flacco, McKinnie, Reed, Kruger, Ellerbe and Williams.

Flacco is going to get a mega contract but after that it gets interesting.

Kruger probably priced Baltimore out of the equation with his late season play and it is likely Reed may be done in Baltimore too. The Ravens line was way better with McKinnie at LT but I don't know if the Ravens wan't to put faith in McKinnie for even a few years.

For the Ravens to have room to bring back Flacco and at least 2 others they need to start cutting guys. But the biggest option would be Boldin who has become a huge part of the offense since Caldwell took over calling the plays.

I don't see an easy out for Baltimore to get their guys back, let alone attract any free agents.

If Kruger and Ellerbe walk then their LB corps will be massively different. The secondary will also be shaky with Reed, Ihedigbo and Williams possibly leaving.

Whatever happens will all hinge on the money Flacco gets

That's a clown statement, bro.

Wait. That reporter thought they weren't already the best LB tandem? Ray Lewis sucked this year. Baltimore is actually going to get better by not having him.

By the way, I'd just like to say that it was really nice waking up and thinking "Ray Lewis is not an NFL player. The NFL is a Ray Lewis-free league."

I thought it was pretty funny when the announcers brought up Ray's double murder charge and plea deal during the broadcast last night. He was practically invisible all game and that was 1 of the few times I heard them talk about him.

I hate how Jim Harbaugh acts on the sidelines. He's like a spoiled brat. I dont care how good of a coach you are, you can at least conduct yourself like an adult on the sidelines.

Agreed. He keeps throwing temper tantrums and it's ridiculous. It's amazing how different the two brothers are on the sideline.
