I think the system Glennon played in should show up in a big way with Glennon's interview - or else I will be disappointed with Gruden.

Is that a real invitation for Te'o or a fake one?

I might re-watch the Brandon Weeden one. It was funny.
Gruden: People say you're too old.
Weeden: Heh. Yep.
Gruden: No, really...you're super ******* old.
Weeden: *sigh*

He will call them out for stupid plays/stupid tendencies. You see a little bit of coach gruden come out instead of the MNF gruden who loves everyone.

Gruden: I sat down to watch your tape. Over and over and over I see this Sanzenbacher guy make amazing catches to bail you out. I want to draft him.
Terrelle Pryor: *looking pissed off* Uh, yeah. He's great.

I dislike that he is bringing in non-Qbs now. Nick Fairley had no business being on that episode. It just doesn't work as well. That being said I still actually want to see Lattimore though.
Gruden needs to get after some of these guys more. I know he is softer on TV, but if he was a coach he would actually try to test them mentally more. The only guy he sort of went after was Kirk Cousins. Too much of him just complementing guys on good plays.

Problem is agents of top QB prospects will discourage their guys from going on the program if Gruden is going to potentially make them look bad. It'd be more enjoyable from a draftfan's perspective for sure but it's not worth it for the players or ESPN.

If you're going to have non-QBs in this program, I think they have to be either middle linebackers or safeties. If they were captains of their teams and have to read offenses and anticipate the opposing quarterback, then it could work. I didn't really get the point of having Nick Fairley on.

LOVE this show. I really want to see how Bray responds to Gruden since we have heard questions about his maturity.
Gruden falls in love with every QB with the exception of Clausen but I think Nassib is going to be his guy this year.

Wonder if Teo's people asked Gruden not to bring up the whole girlfriend controversy as a condition for him being on it. He asked Pryor about his controversy when he was on it so I would be surprised if Gruden didn't ask Te'o about his controversy.

What I wouldn't give for Gruden to introduce himself to Manti and Manti's gf at the beginning of the show.

i absolutely hate gruden and how he just is in love with every player he ever sees (except clausen of course, but especially tebow)
The most painfully average players are just amazing athletes and real "gruden grinders" to him.
The one thing i do like about him is when he talks in straight playbook lingo...he can just ramble on about what he calls one part of a play in words that make zero sense to 99% of the viewers

I like the show personally.
Yeah, there is the fluff piece angle. That goes on for a good 20 minutes and in my mind is merely obligatory. The price the show pays to get prospects to agree to participate.
There is some very good back and forth particularly as he puts prospects through some filmwork. He definitely does get to touch on the hot button topics and you do get to see how these young players deal with that kind of adversity.
The Wilson episode stands out for Russell's poise while Gruden tried to get under his skin repeatedly. How he handled that criticism was remarkably different than how Pryor or Weeden handled their prickly part of the show. And that difference has shown in their respective development paths in the NFL.
It's not a no holds barred format. But it's a pretty balanced format with a shade towards the self promotion side on the part of the prospects. There is value to be seen in the show -- you just have to kind of go looking for it.
