How the eff does Knile Davis run 4.3 @ 227 lbs the day after putting up 31 BP reps? It's a shame he has the hands of a child. (also, the 2012 production of a child)

Judging by his interview, I think Manuel may woo some teams when it comes to that part of the process. He's got all the physical tools you look for, I can see him being a riser in the weeks to come.

I don't know how much teams are going to care about his 40 as long as it's not terrible. Pretty much anything under 4.55 should be fine for him but I don't think that's the kind of player he is. With that said I'm not a fan of taking RBs in the first round unless they're freaks like Peterson. Just look at the top RBs in the league and you'll see the majority of them come after the first round so unless you think Lacy is special I'd be hesitant to take him in the first round.

Knile Davis is interesting. It looked like his injury had clearly destroyed a lot of his ability this past season. But judging from this, I think teams will naturally question whether that was simply because he came back too early. I still wouldn't invest anything big in him, but I'd be more open to taking him in the later rounds.

well, i guess its relatively meaningless.
but to me, swope looked like he didnt get the best start and had short strides while running, which usually makes you slower. plus, seemed like he leaned forward at the end like he was trying to win a race. i believe they usually say you shouldnt do that, as it shaves off tenths of seconds off your time.
just thought those guys looked faster and they did time faster, albeit unofficially.
like you said, relatively meaningless, as it is just my opinion.

From what I saw, he was running scared this season. Kept trying to bounce stuff to the outside instead of just plowing ahead. That missed year turned him into a *****.

I hope that was just a bad start for Taylor, because that's horrible. I don't think he's THAT slow.

there's some numbers that just need to be ignored and his 40 is one those numbers

Pretty much agree with this. Rb 40 times in general are overrated and Taylor is one of those guys that really doesn't need breakaway speed. With that said his 40 was pushing it for being too slow even for him. It would be nice to see a burst from him over short distances at least.

Mayock and Billick just brought up the most important factor when taking a Rb in the first round, long term health and productivity. If I take an OL or Qb I can expect that if they work out I'm getting 10-15 years out of them. If I take a Rb and he somehow stays healthy I'm only getting 6 years or so before he starts dropping off significantly and I have to reinvest in the position.
