As far as I'm concerned, the NFL season starts TODAY.
Bucs rookies have already reported to training camp and begun their quest for the Lombardi Trophy. Wouldn't it be a feat of symmetry if Jonathan Banks, Mike Glennon, and STEVEN MEANS were the ones to celebrate a Super Bowl title this February?
The latest starters are the Giants (rookies and vets on the 26th), Steelers (same), Bills (vets on the 27th), and Colts (same). Looks like the boringness of Buffalo and Indy will cost their veterans precious camp time and knock them out of the playoff race early.
So does the longer camp give the Bucs a leg up on the competition? I say YES. It's a HUGE advantage. Steven Means with more camp time will likely spell doom for the rest of the NFL.
Here's the full schedule with dates and locations:
*even though it's July, but the slogan sounds cool especially considering every other level of football starts in August. and it's almost august anyway.
