I guess my main gripe was with the try hard white guy line and proving that Thomas is every bit if not more athletic then Jones. No one is calling Jones a try hard black guy - they are saying to review the tape and trying to deflect from his subpar workout numbers. Just another example of the stereotyping that goes on with scouts, media and forum board members alike.

That doesn't make sense though. Thomas ran bad and the production/tape backs up that he's not all that explosive. Jones ran bad, but looks explosive on tape.

You might not become an elite player if you're productive in college, but you sure are NOT going to become an elite player if you WEREN'T productive in college.
The more you talk, the more you step in it. Stop trying to run from your own point. You keep making the argument that college production is everything, and it's not. How's Larry English doing in the NFL? How much production did he have and what round was he taken in? How about Tim Couch, he produced on the college level, correct? Don't try to slither your way out of this one.

As far as you claim about how you can't be and elite player in the NFL, is Arian Foster an elite player in the NFL? How about Tom Brady? Rodney Harrison? Al Harris? Richard Sherman? Just stop.

I like Thomas, but i was really hoping for a more productive year from him. I think he can be a decent 34 OLB or 43 OLB...at the very least hes versatile in that regard. Its hard to find a comparison for him that isnt white though
