Default Five Round Mock

Now that most of the Pro Days are over (except for a few rinky dink schools) and we are two weeks from the Draft, here is a mock for Rounds 1 to 5. Oh. My. God. That is an amazing draft for the Phins. If I'm being picky, I'd say give us Khaled Holmes or Dustin Hopkins in the 5th over Nico Johnson, since OG is a bigger need than LB. Nice work though!

Give the Chiefs Tyler Wilson in the 3rd. NT isn't a need at all.

Pretty good draft overall for the Jets. If Milliner falls to 9 I imagine we'll pounce on him, only issue with that is you don't have the jets trading Revis. I'd also go Damontre Moore over Bernard in the 2nd, I don't really see the value for Bernard there and he's also a very similar back to Goodson, I'd rather get a more well-rounded back later like Michael or Ball. Swope would be an interesting pick but once again I think he's likely a slot WR and we have our slot WR in Kerley who is vastly underrated and probably already better than Santonio.

Overall pretty good job though, most jets mocks I find some horrific picks like DT in the 1st or WR 2nd heh.

Really like Hunt for the Niners perfect situation for him. I don't like Eric Reid personally, but the position is right. I like Barrett Jones but for the Niners it dosn't make sense. They need a swing tackle which Barrett might be able to do but you could find a guy better suited for that later. LOVE Jordan Reed I really hope he is Walkers replacement.

47 Dallas: Phillip Thomas [S, FrsS]
I love Phillip Thomas he may be my favorite safety in the draft with Josh Evans being a close second so I certainly won't argue this pick. :)

80 Dallas: Bennie Logan [DT, LSU]
Solid pick although I think Brennan Williams will get a REALLY long look here due to value. Can't go wrong with either pick.

114 Dallas: Matt Scott [QB, Arz]
Value pick and Dallas traditionally takes their project QBs from the 4th onwards. Especially I'd target Joseph Randle here but I can understand the pick.

151 Dallas: Mike Gillislee [RB, Flr]
Good pick given the previous selections.
Comments in bold. Given the opportunity to use your board at each pick I would go:

18) Jonathan Cooper, OG, UNC
47) Phillip Thomas, S, Fresno State
80) Bennie Logan, DT, LSU
114) Joseph Randle, RB, OSU
151) Jordan Mills, OT, LTU

New England Patriots RB depth chart - 1. Steven Ridley (3rd rounder with over a 1k yards last season) 2. Shane Vereen 3. Brandon Bolden 4. Leon Washington 5. Jeff Demps (may be moved to do not report list)

really think we have a spot for a 3rd round RB?

Alright man. Despite that whole P fiasco thing you did in the 5th rnd when we still need O-line help. Anyways, besides that, this was an awesome awesome awesome Buffalo Bills draft. I love the picks and where we get them as well.

We need help on the D-line badly.... did you see any of them tackle Kaepernick once in that train-wreck playoff game?

This team has the best depth of young CB's in the NFL though, so change that 88 pick to a DE/DT type.

I love seeing the kicker though as Mason Crosby sucks ballz.
Any mock giving us that kicker is an automatic B at least in my book.

I like Long, but our G's are pretty good and are still young.

I'd rather Detroit got a LT in the first and went DE in the second, but if the draft turns out this way i'll be happy

Overall pretty good job though, most jets mocks I find some horrific picks like DT in the 1st or WR 2nd heh.
What's wrong with a DT in Round 1? A while back I posted a two rounder on another board and had the Jets take Sheldon Richardson because Mike Devito went to KC and left that spot is VACANT! They got a NT and a good HDE (if you consider their defense a 46 scheme), but DT is blank.

I like Barrett Jones but for the Niners it dosn't make sense.
I only put Jones with SF because Jonathan Goodwin is 34 years old. The red and gold are so stacked that most of their picks will be for luxury.

Dallas is transitioning to a more athletic line with more ZBS looks that fits better with their offensive line coaching. Fluker's cement feet do not fit at all.
That's interesting. I figured the Boys would have a big man-blocking O-line as long as Jerry Jones is in charge because of those five huge guys that won him three Super Bowls. It seems that zone blocking is the new dance craze on the NFL scene right now.

The Colts are not going to waste their 1st rounder on Manti ****ing Te'o.

I could get behind that Vikings mock.

I would become an Oakland fan if the Broncos drafted Knile Davis in the 3rd round.

Hunt seems like a big reach for a first rounder for sf. Rest of the draft is great for sf!

Detroit does pretty well here. I'd rather not take a 2nd OL after Watson, but Warford is very good value. T.Williams with the 4th round comp pick is a steal and I'm cool with Ansah/Watson.

Plug & play RT and legit LT insurance in case Veldheer goes down. I'm for it.

We signed 3 Sio Moore's this offseason. I think we've got enough.

Not a big fan. But, in Rd4, he might have develop-and-trade potential. Still, I see a ton of players on the board there who could actually help us, and probably even start.

So the Bengals don't address any of their major needs till the 3rd round. No thanks.

Give the Saints McDonald over Jefferson in the 5th and I would say its one of the best mocks I have seen. Good job.

I could live with this whole draft, but the 1st pick would put a very bad taste in my mouth as we already have a similar player to Jones in Akeem Ayers.

Some of the other selections wouldn't be my first choice, but they are quality players with good value.

This is just so hilariously bad for Atlanta I don't know where to begin... but I'll start.

Atlanta actualyl believes in taking good character players. So how does Mathieu fit into the equation? simple. He doesn't. Better options are Collins or Amerson.

While Wheaton is a good player, The Falcons will have to get out of the first 3 rounds with a CB and a LB or DE. can't go TE-CB-WR.

Dawkins is as solid pick, but if LB isn't addressed earlier, Jenkins and Williams are good fits.

So uh, If Mathieu doesn't fit, how does Commings (a girlfriend beater) fit?

he doesn't. Falcons should take Beastley and run with it here.
