What happened to Locker and Ponder is probably what will happen to this year's QBs. People don't think they're 1st round QBs, then with few days left we start to hear about them going in the 1st round anyway. Fasten your seat belts. We already have Mike Mayock saying Manuel is better than Ponder.

Probably hoping he can at least dress up in his uniform by himself by game 4 of next year.

Who's Jacksonville taking at 2? Or will they trade down? Having a hard time deciding what to do here since Eugene Monroe is just 25 and has the LT job. Is Geno really in play? Dion Jordan fits as a LEO pass rusher for the defense. I've heard they like Floyd as well...

I think it'll be Dion or Geno. Just a hunch.

I don't really know what ATLs tackle situation is like, but it seems like it has to be one of the tackles from those words.

@ChrisWesseling: Per @MichelleBeisner, Cardinals will snag Lane Johnson if he's there at 7. If not, go best player available. Higher on Cooper than Warmack

Has to be either Ziggy/Dion or Eric Fisher/Luke Joeckel.

LT situation isnt in dire need as we just extended Sam Baker to a pretty large contract(granted its extremely backloaded).

We released Tyson Clabo late in the offseason, as he had a rough year and was a move to create more money for Matt Ryan's soon to be deal.

We have a few guys to step in at RT, none whom are proven but none people are extremely worried about (at least from a fans standpoint, not a GM or coach who sees these guys everyday)

But if we are moving up that high, it would have to be Jordan/Ansah or Milliner if they love those guys that much.

Jordan seems more like a 3-4 guy to me and Ansah would be a better fit but still a risk. I know Dimitriof like bold moves but I dont think hed make that extreme of a move for IMO a non elite pass rusher and with Rhodes or Trufant available in the 10-20.

To trade away a ton of draft picks this years seems drastic as we have 2 MAJOR needs and need to address them both. DE situation and CB are both pretty terrible.

Jake Locker wasn't good at throwing in the pocket (AKA playing quarterback) in college. Nassib is easily a better prospect.

Which to me means they'll ultimately go Fluker (which would feel very Levi Brown-y if you remember that situation in 2007).

It's almost as if evaluating draft prospects can be subjective.

just restating it doesnt make it true, nor does thinking of a weird nickname it.

Citing a "source (he) trust(s)," CBS Sports' Clark Judge reports the Falcons are trying to trade up for a cornerback. Judge reports it would be Dee Milliner or Xavier Rhodes. Perhaps the Falcons' most needy position is right cornerback, opposite LCB Asante Samuel. And it's been clear for over a week now that GM Thomas Dimitroff isn't satisfied with the 30th overall pick. We tend to believe Milliner would be Dimitroff's preferred target. Dimitroff is tight with Milliner's college coach, Nick Saban

The "Jake Locker was a 2nd RD pick who went 8th overall," argument is equally absurd. Locker was never going to go in the 2nd RD. Anyone who realistically thought or still thinks he would or should have needs a few more years of experience at this, and his career so far is irrelevant because as a prospect, guys like him will be gambled on early. Lots of QB prospects have accuracy and decision making issues, but Locker's arm talent, athleticism, and character overshadowed him needing to be refined. The only way he's not a 1st RDer is if he displayed poor character, which is the opposite of what happened. His intangibles only enforces a coach's confidence in being able to coach him up. Hell, just chalk it up to the importance of the position he plays if you have to, but at least accept it or whatevs.

Personally, I think placing round values on QBs is such a crap shoot that it's not worth doing. If you think a QB is good enough to be a franchise QB at any point in his career, and you don't have a franchise QB, then you should probably pick him first.

Andy Dalton had early 1st RD talk days before the draft, and nothing came of that. This Nassib business reminds me of that.

The Titans are reportedly very fond of Cornelius Carradine, and are considering him with the 10th overall pick.

No, but weighing the importance of those things is.
