I like the Bengals pick of Mosley. With Gilbert, Dennard, Fuller, and Shazier off the clock I would much rather they pick up a talent like Mosley than settle for Roby.

Why in the world would the Cardinals take Manziel when Manziel isn't what Arians wants?

Another 5 tech to KC? No.

I'm assuming this mock is more of what you would do rather than what you think will actually happen?

Manziel may not fit the size mold that Arians looks for in a signal caller, but his numbers in the vertical passing game match what Arians likes.

Andy Reid loves linemen and Hageman is the best five technique prospect in the draft.

I never do a mock based on what I think should happen; always trying to predict what will happen.

If Anthony Barr is there I see no way the Bengals pass on him. Lewis likes his SOLB to be hybrid type players that can line up as a DE too.

I would like to hear your thoughts about Bridgewater to the Vikings at #8..
You think that the rumours about Teddy falling are overblown/false, same with the rumours about them targeting QB later, and they would go with Teddy over Bortles? (Yes, I know you can just answer "yes" to all 3 questions, but I'm hoping for a bit more, thanks :-) )

- As far as the Ravens go, I really like the pick of Beckham JR, although rumours are floating around that they are very high on Ebron.

I think there are several teams who have soured on Bridgewater, but Minnesota has been quiet in their connection to quarterbacks. Based off of Zimmer's comments this off-season he wants a cerebral, lunch pail, hard-working, no fanfare type signal caller and that's exactly what Teddy offers. Bortles could easily be their choice instead. My feeling is that if no quarterbacks have been taken when we get to the 8th pick, Minnesota will be the first team to choose one.

Bridgewater at 8 is a bit of a reach. Donald and Barr would both be better picks there. If you traded down, Gilbert would be alright.

Cool, thanks. I'm just putting my final mock together as well tonight, and I've been flipflopping back and forth between Bridgewater and Bortles myself, for the last half hour or so. (Since I to believe, that they will target a QB earlier than what the rumour mill might suggest.)

Arians doesn't seem like a coach that would drift away from his profile in what he wants in a QB, at all. I'd bet on them waiting till later on the draft to select Mettenburger. The Cardinals have the luxury to sit someone like Mett for a bit till he's ready, so I don't see why the Cardinals would feel pressed to spend their top pick on someone who doesn't exactly fit with what they want.

Andy Reid loves linemen sure, but 5 tech was one of the areas they addressed in a very very quiet FA period. Andy Reid also loves to throw the ball and needs offensive weapons in the worst way.

As a Dallas fan I could live with Shazier, but I would rather have Cooks or Beckham Jr. at #16.

I wouldn't mind Beckham but I'm really doubting that the Ravens go for a wide receiver in the first unless they trade a ways back.

Insightful NE pick.
Boston Herald recently did a piece on him.

Quote:
Just as Demarcus Lawrence was getting ready to hop a flight here to make an official visit to Foxboro, the Patriots called to say, “Never mind.”

There’s a couple of ways to look at the last-minute change of plans. The Pats may have decided to move on from the Boise State defensive end, and wanted to use the slot for someone else. Or, they really like him, already had compiled enough info, and didn’t want to completely tip their hand to the masses.

It worked that way for Nate Solder three years ago. The offensive lineman was in his truck on his way to the airport in Denver when the Pats waved him off, canceling the visit. At the time, Solder was worried that meant the Patriots were going in another direction. Guess they fooled him, too. (The Pats selected Solder in the first round of the 2011 draft, 17th overall.)
