Default Ryan Nassib Going Top 10???

where the heck did this come from?

i never saw him play and thought 1st rounder?

hes been being mocked to the bills at 8 by a lot of people lately; is this only because of his connection to marrone?

The Bills are the only team that would even consider Nassib that early.

Buffalo is going to be a difficult team to figure out for the final mock draft. Geno Smith makes sense on the face but I just have a feeling they are going to pass and hope for Nassib or Glennon in Round 2 or perhaps in a trade up into the latter part of Round 1.

So if not Geno at #8 then who? Could it be Jonathan Cooper? How about Kenny Vaccaro, Jarvis Jones or even Tyler Eifert? Would be interested to hear what Bills fans think.

Yup, the Marrone connection.

I can't say I think Nassib is a bad prospect, but I don't think he's the best QB in this class. I think some analysts see a solid prospect in Nassib and along the way have flipped those decent traits into a top 10 pick.

But many of these experts are the same ones that pumped Gabbert into a top 10 pick. You shouldn't have to convince yourself any player deserves to go high in the draft, which is what I have to do to project Nassib going in the first round.

Crossing my fingers. The Bills deserve a good QB not named Kelly.

Like Scott said, trade back into the late first and take him there. Makes more sense and puts a little less pressure on everyone involved with the pick.

Bills need somebody explosive on offense not named C.J. Spiller. Tavon makes sense.

Guessing the only players at play at #8 are Ryan Nassib, EJ Manuel, Geno Smith, Dee Milliner, Chance Warmack, Tavon Austin and Jonathan Cooper.

Don't know what they're going to do but I think they take either Nassib or Manuel and live with their decision.

EDIT: Lane Johnson as well.

If Jacksonville selects Geno 2nd overall and Cleveland selects EJ Manuel 6th overall then I think Nassib will really be in play for Buffalo.

I wouldn't be surprised if we start hearing rumors leading up to draft day that the Jets are interested in Nassib. Would be a logical thing to leak if they aren't interested in Nassib to give the Bills a reason to be reluctant to try to get him in a trade down.

The Bills aren't taking a Guard. First look at Nix history of draft picks. He believes in converting Tackles into Guards. He, at the luncheon, laughed at the idea of picking a Guard at 8. The Bills also under the Nix regime have never drafted a guy who hasn't been a pre draft visit in the first round. So if you take all of that into consideration, you can eliminate Tavon Austin, Johnathan Cooper, Chance Warmack. If they are going to take a player that isn't a QB at 8 or in a trade down, the two most likely players I can see becoming Buffalo Bills are S Kenny Vaccaro or Dee Milliner. Beyond that its QB or bust for Buffalo with Nassib and Barkley leading the way.

The Bills will wait till round 2 and draft either Manuel, Nassib or Glennon, QB's who have the arm strength to handle the winds at their stadium.
They have Kolb and will be in no rush to draft a developmental QB.

They are probably hoping for one of the LT's, an OG or possibly Austin in round 1.

I think Nassib is underrated. He's a slightly better Dalton and you take that guy at 8 if Travaris Jackson and Kolb are your QBs. The WRs and Gs in round 2 arent' that different from Warmack and Patterson/Austin. You'll have a chance out of either Hunter,Hopkins,Patton,Allen,Wheaton or Woods, or a TE like Ertz. You also have a shot at guys like Warford,Pugh,Winters,Frederick,Long or Jones.

Nassib isn't as good as Dalton, he is far more inconsistent passer, add that to the fact that Buffalo's OL is a sieve and lost its best OG in FA, has a LT Glenn who is an average LT at best but would be a stud at RT and you can see why they would want a LT in the draft to protect Kolb or any QB.
As for getting an OG in round 2 who is close to Warmack or Cooper, it just isn't so, these 2 are top 10 talents, maybe the best OG's to appear in the draft in a decade and both will be All Pro OLmen within a short while.

Glenn is a young player who they invested a fairly high pick in last year. He's going to get a chance to prove himself at LT for another season, and it's likely that all three top offensive tackles by their selection.

Regardless of how good Warmack and Cooper are, the general manager has stated that he likes the in-house options they have at guard and taking a guard towards the top, when you have other significant needs, is a ridiculous thing to do.

It may have started last night. Your pal, my pal, Sal Pal linked Nassib with the Jets after the Revis trade went down.

I just refuse to believe we are that stupid, we are pretty bad sometimes I will admit, to take Nassib at 8. I don't care what kind of connection he has with Marrone and his offense. When you are in the top 10, you take Pro Bowl players regardless of position. None of you can tell me that Nassib looked like a Pro Bowl player in college, nor has he in his workouts. His arm is average and he is a poor mans Dalton coming out of TCU.

We reached on Whitner and Maybin, and guess what? We are still picking in the top 10 years later. We need a difference maker at 8, not a guy that may or may not be a career NFL backup at friking the 8th pick.

I'm going to effin snap if we take him there.

im not a bills fan but as a mock drafter, Im gonna keep geno at 8. if they take Nassib or Barkley in a surprise, still get a half point in the THR for a QB in that slot.

I agree Nassib is rather under rated but the one thing that really plants the Bills and Nassib for me is that he's been training all off season under Paul Hackett who is the Father of Bill's new offensive coach Nathaniel Hackett rumors say the training was full with playbook and everything.

I would truly feel bad if you guys took him. Reminds me of when Ponder got picked in the 1st but may be worse because you knew before the draft so you had to suffer with it.

It will only suck if Nassib is a bust. There have been plenty a QB that everyone thought was a lock to be a stud in the NFL and there have been plenty that have been thought not to be more than an average QB who have turned out highly successful. Don't pity us for our QB selection when no one knows how it will turn out. Pity us that we haven't made the playoffs for 13 years.
