Default SRoger's last Mock Draft

A quick note:

- Not including trades as they are impossible to predict. I will indicate with a * slots in the draft where I think a trade is very likely. That way I can keep track on draft night and see how accurate I was.
- I will not do a reasoning portion for every pick, but picks that maybe "don't make sense" I will list my reasonings.

Enjoy.

1) KC Chiefs - Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M

2) Jacksonville Jaguars - Geno Smith, QB, WVU

*3) Oakland Raiders - Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah

4) Philadelphia Eagles - Eric Fisher, OT, CMU

*5) Detroit Lions - Ezekial Ansah, DE, BYU

6) Cleveland Browns - Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon

7) Arizona Cardinals - Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma

*8) Buffalo Bills - Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse

9) New York Jets - Tavon Austin, WR/HB, WVU
Reasoning: Sort of a reach. But, there's a ton of hype on this kid and he may not last much longer than 9.

10) Tennessee Titans - Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama

11) San Diego Chargers - Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee

12) Miami Dolphins - Shariff Floyd, DT, Florida
Reasoning: Move to a 4-3 defense means a need for an UT that can get after the QB.

13) New York Jets - Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU

14) Carolina Panthers - Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington

*15) New Orleans Saints - Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia

16) St. Louis Rams - Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama

*17) Pittsburgh Steelers - DJ Hayden, CB, Houston

18) Dallas Cowboys - Kenny Vacarro, FS, Texas

*19) New York Giants - Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina

20) Chicago Bears - Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State

21) Cincinnati Bengals - Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia

22) St. Louis Rams - Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee

23) Minnesota Vikings - Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame

24) Indianapolis Colts - Sheldon Richardson, DE, Missouri
Reasoning: Will play DE in their 3-4 defense.

25) Minnesota Vikings - Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina

26) Green Bay Packers - Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU

27) Houston Texans - DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson

28) Denver Broncos - Eric Reid, S, LSU

29) New England Patriots - Robert Woods, WR, USC

30) Atlanta Falcons - Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
Reasoning: Gonzalez has one more year left, at best.

31) San Francisco 49ers - Jonathan Cyprien, S, Florida Intl

32) Baltimore Ravens - DJ Fluker, RT, Alabama

Nope.

He's exactly the type of kid Harbaugh likes, too. Loves to hit people, very physical, and can cover a bit, too.

I just hope you are wrong, but it is likely that it will happen.

I also think you are right with it likely being a trade down spot. Buddy Nix says he wants more picks in this draft so hopefully someone is interested in 8 so we don't have to pick Nassib there if that's who we are going with.

I think he wants Nassib, but I think he wants him later in the draft, which is why I pegged it as a possible trade down spot.

We moved to a 4-3 last season, and we still have Randy Starks, Paul Soliai and Jared Odrick who can play DT. Odrick is an UT, Soliai is the NT and Starks can play both. So that reasoning sucks. Fail.

Hayden, Mingo or Eifert instead please!

You listed those guys as if they were good ... outside of Starks nothing to be stoked about at DT. And Starks isn't that good.

After re-signing Brad Jones, it doesn't appear that inside backer is an early round need for the packers.

I wouldn't be a fan of Fluker for the Ravens but they have shown interest in him. I'm just not comfortable with his pass-protection abilities on the edge and OG is more than set with Yanda and Osemele.

I doubt Richardson would fall that far but if he does I'll be happy.
