Thank you! Thank you!

There is a strong difference between Johnson, Jones and Moncrief, Moncrief has a lot of natural ability including size and height. However, in college he tended to try to get separation by beating up his opponent physically rather than by skill. Uses his strength and savvy to beat smaller CB's.
However as a pro, he will need to work on getting separation using his feet and not rely on being bigger and stronger than the CB, because he won't find too many NFL CB's who won't challenge him physically.

Separation will be a problem early, until he develops more skill using his feet. He's not yet a finished product but has a very nice upside.

Throw in the fact that he body catches everything, and he has a lot to learn.

I don't think that is completely true, I did hear it somewhere but when I went back and watched film, I didn't see it as a problem.

With YA Tilton and Wayne coming back, Moncrief is going to a great situation.

Let's see who holds with the opinion that Moncrief isn't a first round talent once the season starts.

Luck could have 35+ TDs with that WR corps, including his TEs.

Fleener started coming along last year, Dwayne Allen is coming back, Reggie Wayne is coming back, and Hilton has emerged as one of the top deep threats in the league. Oh yeah and let's not forget that Andrew Luck is the guy throwing the ball. If that OL improves and they get anything out of Trent Richardson, then holy hell that is a scary offense. Moncrief isn't going to get a huge volume of targets, but I think he is in a perfect situation especially with Wayne getting up there. Can't ask for a better receiver to learn from.

Anybody with his physical tools is a "first-round talent."

Whether or not he's a first-round caliber football player still remains to be seen. I'd argue he isn't. So would every single team in the NFL who decided not to take him in the first or 2nd.

Doesn't mean he's destined for failure, but there's a reason he went late 3rd and his flaws as a football player are very obvious when you watch him play the game.

He did land in an absolutely ideal spot though. Exciting developmental prospect.

Letting this kid slip to the 3rd round is going to look real silly sooner rather than later. The league is full of mistakes and I firmly believe this is one of em.

He's better than at least half the receivers that were drafted ahead of him. A 165 pound one dimensional zipper from Colorado? Marqise "drop it like it's hot" Lee? Kelvin Benjamin? Get real. Moncrief is superior to all these receivers. I'm baffled that it's this hard to figure out honestly.
