Whoa.

Teddy looks at least as big as RG3 did at the combine in 2012, when he weighed 224# official.

If that added weight equates to a tad bit more velocity and arm strength, I won't be surprised in the Rams sit on that 2nd pick and take Bridgewater.

I read an interview with Teddy and Weinke where they were working with his mechanics to put is full body into his motion as he is was an arm thrower especially on his deep ball.

If he can do that aswell as get stronger that should add velocity onto his ball, if i'm the texans the only player i consider drafting before Teddy is Clowney.

It will be huge if Teddy can weigh in around 215 and show off a strong arm, but I don't think anyone is doubting he could add weight. It is all about being able to keep the weight on. It seems obvious, but to add good weight and keep it on you need to train more and eat more consistently. Most people have a "normal" bodyweight, to go above or below that you need to do more in one way.

If he can add weight and keep it steadily through his pro day and workouts then it will go a long way to solidifying him as the top pick. If he turns up at 215 at the combine but falls to 200 for his workouts it is probably more of a flag than just showing up o the combine at 200 IMO because it shows he can add weight but can't keep it on

You cannot guarantee this, I've heard the saying 'maxed out body type' when referring to lots of NFL prospects, guys whose build is as big as it is going to get, in Bridgewater's case, he is just naturally thin and you have to assume that he may not even be able to carry 195lbs during a 16 game schedule.

Rams aren't gonna take a QB. If anything they'll trade down with someone who wants a QB.

Peliserro tweeted that the Vikings will probably be looking to trade down since they think there is great QB depth in this draft, but take that as you will.

Well the guys that teams think are franchise QBs will go in the top 10, and the guys who teams think are far too risky to take that high aka projects or backups will go in rounds 2-7. So it depends what they want.

Wrong. Everyone's going to mess up on picks 1-3, and he'll fall to Cleveland!

...*sigh* I've expected Bridgewater to go first this entire time, anyway. Bridgewater, Matthews/Robinson, Manziel, Bortles, barring any trades.

Teddy coming in at 6'2 214lbs. That is more than adequate size to play the position. But as I mentioned it is no good putting the weight on if he can't keep it on. Interested to see if the added bulk helps with his arm strength. Not saying it was a negative, but if he can display a stronger arm this week and keep the weight on throughout the process I think he will separate himself from the pack.

On the flip side Manziel came in at 5'11 and 207lbs. But those extra 3 inches make the difference. Manziel is almost identical size to Russell Wilson, although they have different body types. Plus, Manziel probably played at a similar weight whereas Teddy has added approx 20lbs in the offseason.

Manziel measured 5'11 and 3/4, according to Gil Brandt. Nearly 6 feet, which is what many expected. He wasn't 5'9. He wasn't 6'1. Nothing's really changed.

I'm curious to see his 40 time.

I actually expect both Teddy and Manziel to run in the similar range (prob high 4.5s, low 4.6s). Both guys are good athletes but in different ways. In saying that, I would expect Manziel to blow him out of the water on the 3 cone if they both run it

That would be ideal. There is a noteable difference in how Teddy looks now compared to during the season so I think we can make a reasonable guess he played at around 200lbs which is a bit light for a guy over 6'2. 6'2 220lbs is basically what Aaron Rodgers plays at

Bridgewater had 9 1/4 inch hands, which is apparently why he wears those gloves.

Manziel had 10 3/8ths hands, huge like Wilson.

EDIT: Most twitter reports say Manziel has 9 and 7/8th inch hands, so I'm going with that.

Gil Brandt posted that 10 and 3/8ths hand measurement on his twitter right after a post about Manziel, so I wrongly assumed he was talking about him.

Bortles is a big QB; 6'5 and I believe his official weight was 232#.

Where are you getting those numbers on Manziel. I am seeing 9 7/8 which is still pretty good

Manziel's run skills as a QB are 2nd only to Vick, and I don't know if Vick was as slippery as Manziel is with the ball in his hands.

However if Manziel tries to cut back into the middle of the field on runs in the NFL right into pursuit, he's going to get crushed.

Adam Schefter just tweeted Bridgewater's official height as 6'2 and 1/8th. I really thought he would be closer to 6'3(long head.lol).

If gloves help him grip the ball i see no issue, he's not going to have to take them off in the NFL.

Will also help him if he plays in cold whether games as he naturally wears them vs someone who is not used to them but puts them on.

Yeah he needs to find a balance between making plays with his legs and trying to be a RB. He doesn't need to seek out contact to make big plays. Similar to RG3 he should develop as a pocket passer knowing he can break it outside if needs be. But for both guys I would give one piece of advice: Get down or get out of bounds!!!

The numbers I'm getting are from twitter posts.
I'm waiting for the official final measurement to be posted on Walter Football.

I just heard Manziel was 9 and 7/8ths. I'll edit my post.

EDIT: Most twitter reports say Manziel has 9 and 7/8th inch hands, so I'm going with that.

Gil Brandt posted that 10 and 3/8ths hand measurement on his twitter right after a post about Manziel, so I wrongly assumed he was talking about him.

Bortles is a big QB; 6'5 and I believe his official weight was 234#.
Just measured my own hands and it turns out I don't have the hand size to play QB in the NFL:( at 8 and 4/8 inches they are just too small. And there was me hoping to overcome my 5'8 height and 160lbs weight. Well, maybe I can pick up another sport

so much for that theory.

Kaepernick is this years pat white. Thin, gimmick offense and doesn't possess an nfl arm. The ncaa constantly regurgitates clones of past players and amazingly enough, tricks some people into thinking they're better than their cloned half. Kaepernick was a complete waste of a senior bowl qb spot. A better qb will come from the east/west shrine or whatever they're calling it now...count on it

Not completely, he could have eaten a absolute huge meal just before weigh in and it doesn't guarantee that he can hold the weight on during a season. Nevertheless, it certainly will help his cause going forward although his hand size just became an issue as well. He's not out of the shadows just yet. Still needs a great pro day to remain in the top 5 and possibly go #1 overall.

I'm no doctor or physical fitness expert, so weight may turnout to be nothing, just have to see how impressed the scouting group is. It was never my call, just put it forward as a possibility.
