I wish we could know how good Tebow would have been in college somewhere other than UF. He was a great college player, but would he have been as great without Harvin, Pouncey twins, Aaron Hernandez, Murphy, etc. etc.

Not only that, but the system he played in was way ahead of its time, and he fit it like a glove. I think it says alot that his least productive year by far came as a senior.

Had Tebow chosen 'Bama over Florida (which was never a legit possibility by the way) I'm not sure he would have been the starter by the end of his career.

I like how it's all subtle and understated and stuff. Definitely not throwing his religion in anyone's face or anything.

McDaniels was probably chirping at Belichick for this ever since he got released.

Tebow didn't choose to pose that way. That's not how magazine shoots work.
A photo editor decided on that pose and chose to make him stand shirtless wearing football pants.

Timmy is a big boy in a free country, he could´ve just said "No, I don´t want to pose like that".

Why would he have objections?? Unless a photo editor is asking you to bend over and let a goat lick your hind parts, most people go with the flow. Also this probably wasn't the only pose they had him in. I'm sure they took dozens of shots in quick succession. Tebow probably wasn't even aware of how he was being posed until he saw the actual published photo.

Dang yall are going hard at Timmy trying to make him a bad guy.

Don´t put words in my mouth. All I said was that Timmy has a choice, and he chose to pose as Football Jesus. First you say that an editor decide how he stands in the shoot, and then you say he isn´t even aware of how he was being posed? I dont believe in either of those excuses.

I don´t think Tim is a bad guy, I just think he is a horrible quarterback who will never succeed at that position.

LEAVE TIMMY ALONE

He is certainly a media creation but cmon now Funbuncher if you are a devout Christian why in the world would you essentially use popular culture to mock Jesus's sacrifice on the cross?

By the way does Football Jesus signing for the Patriots to learn from the Anti-Christ mean that evil has won?

We all agree that Tebow throws poorly, to say the least.
Despite the fact that he beat the Steelers with no just one, but two perfectly thrown TD passes in that playoff win. Facts.

We also all agree that Tebow is a strong Christian.

Some of you act like that's a bad thing, on par with how Pac Man Jones, Chad Johnson, Brett Favre, Roberto McLain, Titus Young, Lawrence Phillips, etc. act as "people".
Pretty disgusting.

*BY THE WAY, is this a DONE deal or not? I keep seeing SOURCES SAY he WILL sign... still this morning 8:46 am Tuesday.
Have "sources" been wrong before, Ed Werder?

Firstly, I believe you mean Rolando McClain, and secondly, no being a devout Christian should not be considered a bad thing but when how you act becomes a bigger story than your play on the field then yes it does become an issue.

A discussion about the faith of Tim Tebow and whether or not being a devout Christian in contemporary America is detrimental to his career...okey dokey then.

Literally any QB in the NFL, CFL, AFL, or starting for a BCS team could have made the game winning throw. It was an open post route allowed to become a TD by poor tackling. Not like he made some pinpoint accurate throw that only a select few could make.

It was a good throw though. Allows us to ignore every other throw that was dogshit.

So the standard for a good throw for Tebow is one any other competent QB can make? Makes sense.

Just saw the Belichick press conference.

Someone explain to me the MEDIA'S obsession, not the fans, with Tebow??
How is he going to be used?? What do you like about him as a player? What position is he going to play??etc.

I heard this morning even if Tebow makes the team, he most likely will NEVER be activated for games!!!!
This media circus around Tebow is totally media driven. It's hype without substance.
Do reporters realize they're interviewing a HOF coach about potentially a 3rd string QB/STer who hasn't started a game in two years??
Get off it already.

No the standard is that a universally panned 'bum' QB went 10/21, 312 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs against the #1 ranked D in the NFL, in the playoffs.

Give the dude credit when he plays well.

Give the dude credit when he plays well.
Because sub 50% performances is the trademark of a truly elite QB.... Get out...

It doesn't matter if he complete every pass or 0 passes. Winning is winning.

I'm not going to argue, they won the game and he didn't give the ball away I guess. But keep in mind that 1 catch went for 80-ish yards and a TD off a broken tackle in overtime. Granted you can do that with anyones stats, but still. ******* StAtsz

I don't know why I am even arguing anything Tebow related. So it begins I guess.

There are plenty of pro bowl QBs who've played worse in the playoffs than Tebow did against the Steelers. He had a good game as a passer, considering the circumstances.
