Yup, Kenny can get bent somewhere else.

Reynaud needs to be less of a liability on returns as well. That fumble at the beginning of the game was totally on him not calling everyone off.

Too many guys playing like bums right now that are killing our offense and STs - Kenny, CJ, Turner, Warmack, Battle, Reynaud. All playing like bums. You'd hope that Warmack will improve as he gets more reps but who knows. Turner will be gone as soon as Schwenke is ready, so maybe no biggie there. CJ can't break tackles OR make anyone miss in the run game and we need to replace him sooner rather than later. Battle needs to be a 3rd string (and to be fair he normally would be). Kenny and Reynaud just need to go.

That damn muffed punt! UGH.

The thing about CJ is, he ran really well against SD and was running hard, but these past two games have been against tougher front sevens, but damn...he can't do ****. Ain't going to get any easy against Seattle and SF.

Shonn Greene is going to get a lot of carries when he gets back, me thinks.

I hope so. Funny thing is, most Jets fans would probably laugh after reading that, but that just shows how pitiful CJ has been.

I'm in the KC area, and all the local sports anchors were saying on their segments how bad of a call that was and how it totally changed the game.

It's pretty bad when nearly everybody thinks it was a bad call.

Lets be real, Alex was going out of bounds. It's clear as day.

Anyway, it was a terribly called game on both sides, so you can't point to one single call and say it was unfair. How about Bowe not stepping out of bounds but it being called? Or that phantom call on Berry that wasn't anywhere near to a PI or hold? You guys scored on that drive.

Calls go both ways.

I believe this is a Titans discussion thread. Please feel free to find your way out of it.

But since you're here, going out of bounds and being out of bounds are two different things. A player should never fear getting flagged for hitting a player thats in bounds because he "was going out of bounds".

As for Bowe, replays clearly showed his foot touched the white out of bounds. I don't know what the complaint is here.

I'll admit the Berry call was pretty iffy, if it hadn't been called we would have kicked a FG. If that piss poor call on Alex Smith wasn't called, it would have been a punt and our ball. What would have happened will never be known, but the refs should never determine the outcome of a game, and they did today.

The refs were awful, but lets be honest, sloppy play lost the game. You can't make the errors we made and say a few bad calls cost us.

Yep, there were PLENTY of things that lost this game, not the refs (who were bad on both sides). The fluke DWill kick that led to a TD, the failed 4th down conversion on the goalline, the two turnovers by Fitzpatrick, the nonexistent running game that we've poured $800 million dollars into....you name it.

We have got to get the run game going. I think part of it is play-calling, and part of it is everyone not holding their blocks long enough.

We need to take some plays out of KCs playbook that utilize Charles. I know we are as talented as KCs O-Line, and he's running through wide open holes and being utilized several different ways.

Say what you want about Chris, but he showed yesterday he can still make plays. The problem seems to remain the offensive playcalling.

I like Loggains a hell of a lot more than I did Palmer, but he still lacks in the running game.

I will be thrilled when Greene is back and we can rotate Chris, I think it will open up a lot of things as well.

The biggest determinant of this weeks game is the Titans offense against the Seahawks D. We can't turn the ball over. Can't make mistakes.

We should be able to handle the Seahawks offensive line relatively well, and Bobby Wagner may or may not play. It'd be a great thing if he can't

Three Keys vs. Seahawks...

OFFENSE:
1. Get the run game going. We've talked about this over the last few weeks -- that CJ has been reverting to some of his old tricks, that Battle has chosen some wrong holes, that the interior OL hasn't been pushing the point of contact, that Loggains has been predictable in his run playcalling, etc. We all know that Fitzpatrick can't win this game all by himself, so the run game must step up if we're to have a realistic chance. Adding to the trouble is that Shonn Greene will probably miss again this week. If CJ/Battle can close in on 100 yards rushing, then that means we're probably in the game.

2. Limit the turnovers. This mostly applies to the QB position (though the ST unit deserves a look here too). Fitz can't throw 2-3 INTs in this game, if we're going to win. Last week, he was frequently making the right reads, but his throws were wildly inaccurate -- throwing above and behind WRs on both INTs. Instead, Fitz needs to place the ball where either our guy catches it or no one does. If Fitz can be more accurate in his mid-to-long game, then we've got a puncher's chance against the Seahawks tough CBs.

3. Better playcalling. Last week, against the Chiefs, the offensive placalling played into the strength of the Chiefs DEF by running at (rather than away from) Dontari Poe, even though he was clearly dominating Turner inside. The Seahawks DL and DB is tough, but the LBs can be picked on -- especially if Bobby Wagner misses, as he's expected to. This means that we need to put CJ in some positions to make plays in the passing game. This means utilizing Walker, Stevens, and Thompson in the mid-range passing. This means peeling Wright and Washington over the middle of the field with some subtle rub-plays (though, with our officiating luck lately, this might be easier said than done), etc.

DEFENSE:
1. DL discipline. It's very important that Morgan, Pitoitua, Wimbley, Edwards, etc. stay in their rush lanes and not over-pursue on the edges. If they do, Russell Wilson will destroy us with his legs, as he did last week versus the Colts (where he ran for 100+ yards). With the Seahawks using backup OTs this week, the temptation will be to rush Wilson recklessly, but that could backfire very quickly. This is true of the DTs versus the Seahawks' run game as well, where both Wilson and Marshawn Lynch will take advantage if each DT doesn't maintain his gap.

2. CB discipline. Similar to the defensive line, it's crucial that our CBs stick to their guy/zone until the play is whistled dead. For a young QB, Wilson's very good at making time in the pocket and keeping his eyes downfield. If our CBs try to cheat up to make a play on Wilson before he crosses the line of scrimmage, he'll likely gouge us with a longer pass. None of the Seahawks' WRs scare me one-on-one; however, if our CBs aren't disciplined, then those same WRs can easily become wide open and lethal.

3. LB/S execution. The Seahawks are going to make some plays on offense. But it's important that our LBs make sound tackles and minimize extra yards against this offense -- i.e. don't try to arm-tackle Lynch, make sure to wrap-up their WRs, etc. Likewise, it's important for our Safeties to minimize any mistaken angles and to also practice good tackling this week. (Obviously, if the big hit is definitely there, go for the hit; but don't risk the missed tackle if the big hit is only a 50/50 proposition.)

Obviously, the theme this week is "minimize" -- meaning, our mistakes and their gains. If we can keep it close heading into the fourth quarter, then there's a chance (however remote) that we sneak out of Seattle with a win.

Weren't going to win with him anyway. On the list of things for next year get a decent backup.

I was actually impressed with the total effort. Pretty safe to say if Locker had played the bottom line would have been differant.

Yeah, that needs to happen. Not that it would instantly fix anything, but there's no reason to keep Turner in there playing so awful. At least we have a potential quality young guy at that position we can bring in. Wish we could say the same thing at tailback.

Schwenke and Shonn Greene need to start the moment they're healthy.

I watched a stretch of multiple offensive series today where I focused solely on Rob Turner, and I'm not even exaggerating when I say he got his ass whipped on every play, run or pass. He actually got away with a surprising amount of holds as well.
He needs to be removed from play.

Also, I used to be a hardcore defender of CJ.
No more.

It's clear he's done. He runs timid/scared/soft at all times.

He doesn't play with any lean, and he doesn't run behind his pads at all. I think I saw him break one tackle today.

He takes a ridiculous amount of false steps behind the line, and he doesn't keep his legs churning. If he's hit, he's going down.

Also, Chance Warmack has been fairly awful himself so far, but you can't bench the 8th overall pick. He's either going to have to work through this and continue to get better while on the field, or.... well, that's really his only option. Massive disappointment so far.

Darrius Reynaud can kick rocks. He's a bum.

Fitzpatrick and Rusty should both be gone after this season. Sign a better FA to be the number 2 next year, and draft a mid-rounder to develop into a reliable backup over a season or two.

We need a big TE. Our backups have been worthless this year.

Our offensive coordinator has no idea how to plan/call a running attack.

We've got a lot of problems that I'm just venting about and getting off my chest right now.

Oh, and we really need someone on the defensive line that can get to the quarterback without making themselves a complete liability in the run game by taking themselves out of their lane.

PFF says zero. LOL.

Game Notes
- Despite being on the field for just 21 snaps, Colin McCarthy missed three tackles.
- Both of Ryan Fitzpatrick’s interceptions came without any pressure from the Seahawks’ defense.
- On 19 carries, the Titans failed to force any missed tackles in the running game.
By the way, I agree with everything you said.
