- Andrew Luck will improve greatly, and by the end of the season he will be widely considered to be a top 5 QB. I expect great improvement in tds, completion%, as well as him taking less sacks and throwing less picks.
- Janoris Jenkins will be a pro bowler, maybe even an all pro.
- Brian Hartline will be Miamis leading WR in receptions and tds.
- The Falcons defense will be in the buttom 3 in the league in sacks made. The defenses lack of pass rush will eventually lead to the team once again not getting to the Super Bowl.

- As previously stated, the sack record will be broken.

Homer pick: The Ravens defense will lead the league in sacks.
Glad you think so highly of Kenny Vaccaro!

Since I'm seeing so much about Andrew Luck basically cementing himself as a top 5 QB already this season, here's a bold prediction:
Andrew Luck will not show progress from last season, and his numbers will be the same. The Colts will slump and struggle to finish .500.

1) The Carolina Panthers win the NFC South behind MVP Cam Newton's 4000 yd 30TD 14INT 10 Rushing TD season.

2) Despite much speculation that they'll fall off and that the Bengals will rise, the Ravens manage to get home field for the playoffs and win the North by week 15 behind a vastly improved defense and a breakout star Torrey Smith.

3) Demarco Murray will stay healthy and surpass 1500 yards from scrimmage.

4) Richard Sherman falls back to the pack as he's plagued by pass interference penalties, dropping INT totals, and gets exposed a bit more on vertical routes.

5) Kevin Zeitler will be an All Pro Offensive Guard this year.

3.9 yards per game would be a very steep decline..!

1) The Arizona Cardinals win the division while Seattle finishes 3rd.
2) Despite three really good weapons, Peyton Manning's age really comes up to bite him this year.
3) New England doesn't make the postseason.
4) Matt Ryan becomes a top 5 QB.
5) The Redskins reach the NFCCG only to lose to Chicago.

Homer Corner:

The OL stays healthy and the Steelers make a deep playoff run.

Troy wins DPOY after being healthy for the first time in years.

Bengals D is going to carry them all the way to the SB.
Andy Dalton will do his best Brad Johnson imitation and game manage his way to the championship game.

Matt Ryan was right in the thick of the MVP race last year so I dont know what more he can do to get acknowledged of a top 5 QB. I think no matter how good he plays, his accomplishments will be diminished b/c he will be called the product of an amazing supporting cast and it will be considered outlandish to call him better than Peyton, Brady, Brees, Rodgers...he was top 5 in QB rating and passing yards last year and has been a winner his whole career but just doesnt get the credit. I think the Falcons will win the SB this year, but it still may not be enough. I guess to me the Falcons are just underrated, they owned the best record in the league from wire to wire last year, yet week after week they were barely favored or even underdogs. They almost made the SB last year and got better in the offseason, yet still dont get mentioned amongst the top SB contenders entering this season.

im sorry but what is so great about the Bengal D? Geno Atkins is awesome Ill give you that. But aside from that I see a pretty ordinary D. Dunlap and Johnson are very inconsistent, their LBs are a weakness, their safeties are awful, their corners are good but not great...lets see how they do this year against a much tougher schedule

Their depth is incredible in the front 7, they have great versatility with their fronts, Geno is the best DT in the league, Johnson and Dunlap aren't Watt by any stretch but a very solid duo at rushing the passer, they have Manny Lawson's versatility, Harrison still has plenty left in the tank and offers them a Joker that they lacked in the past, Hall is a top tier CB in this league, their secondary as a whole is above average, They have good run stuffing linebackers.

Their only weakness really is linebacker coverage in the pass game, SS, and if Kirkpatrick sucks then they have a leaky secondary.

But I'm projecting the pieces to all work out fine for them.

Obvious you have not watched this defense play. Mike Zimmer should be a HC already, but teams are dumb for some reason.

Havent Zimmer had some interviews for HC jobs? Maybe he isnīt great in interviews, or his personality rubs people the wrong way. (I dont know, just guessing.) From an Xīs and Oīs perspective he is definitly qualified.
As a fan of defensive football in general, watching 22-tape of the Bengals is awesome.
As a Baltimore Ravens fan, watching 22-tape of the Bengals defense makes me sad and worried for the upcoming season.

And my boldest prediction of all:

The San Diego Chargers represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. Phillip Rivers has an MVP caliber year, and the young defense comes into its own.

Didn't see him play much, but I heard Rey Maualuga was arguably the worst starting linebacker last season via PFF.

The Jets will win too many games to get either Clowney or Bridgewater.

That isn't bold. I mean, the Jets suck but they aren't nearly as bad as the Raiders or Jaguars. And that is what it would take to get one of those two (assuming Bridgewater continues to progress as we expect). Those teams are just on another level of suck.

PFFs slogan should be "we watch the players, so you dont have to"

I dont think he was good last year but he has been pretty solid for them over the years, i really expect Burfict to take the next step this year and he was a very underrated player last year....i loved him before he was a bengal

I wonder if dontay moch is ever going to do anything, but overall i think they LBs are pretty solid, especially since Michael Johnson offers you a lot of versatility.

Hall and Kirk could be a pretty good duo too, even though i think Dre is probably better off at Safety

4. Mike Vick returns to good Vick to lead Eagles to the playoffs
5. Marcus Lattimore starts at RB in week 17

Homer: Jake Locker puts it together and throws for 4000 yards, 25 TDs and rushes for 500 yards.

1. The Detroit Lions win the NFC North
2. One of either Matt Scott or Jordan Rodgers will make a start for Jacksonville at some point this season.
3. Michael Vick will start at least 15 games, the last time he started that many times in a season was 2006.
4. Jonathan Cooper wins OROY

Their only weakness really is linebacker coverage in the pass game, SS, and if Kirkpatrick sucks then they have a leaky secondary.

But I'm projecting the pieces to all work out fine for them.
lawson is not on the team anymore and im not really sure Harrison still has plenty left in the tank. and maluaga gets abused in coverage. And I dont know what youre expecting to come together at SS, Taylor Mays apparently just sucks at football and cant use his talent, and the other guys have proven nothing. Leon Hall is good - not sure Id call him top tier.

1. Rex Ryan is fired before the season is over.
2. Atlanta's knack for winning close games comes to an end with them going 8-8 this year.
3. L. Blount will end up with the most rushing yards for the Patriots.
4. Ryan Tannehill is the only QB from the 2012 class to get his team into the playoffs.
5. Tim Tebow scores a TD as a TE.

Homer Pick - Josh Freeman in his contract year leads the Buc's to a wild card and then has a Flacco like run in the postseason getting a SB win.

4. Tavon Austin runs away with OROTY with close to 2000 all purpose yards

5. Both Jacksonville and Oakland surprise people this year and neither ends up with the first overall pick...that honor goes to the Tennessee Titans

Homer Pick. Rob Gronkowski will miss the first 6 games on PUP but still finishes the year with double digit TDs

I wouldn't be mad if the titans had the 1st overall pick, they should have picked in the top 3 last year and somehow won some games......
