Why are people complaining about Manziel when AJ McCarron was invited? I can't even...

McCarron is basically a souped up Craig Krenzel.

Lets look at Carey. In the same amount of games against BCS competition, Carey averaged 1 less yard 0.8 ypc less than Williams. Sankey averaged about 6 yards less per game and 0.6 ypc less against BCS competition. You want to harp on him for not catching balls, that's fine. But his numbers against BCS teams were just as good as the other guys you mentioned so you're barking up the wrong tree on that one.
Against FBS Winning teams, both Sankey and Carey and even Carlos Hyde had more yards than Andre Williams. Andre Williams had four touchdowns against FBS winning teams, Sankey and Carey were first and tied for third respectively. Meanwhile who was second in the nation in total yards against FBS losing teams? Andre Williams. While he only had four touchdowns against FBS winning teams, he had 12 against FBS losing teams. Sankey, Carey, and Hyde all had double digit touchdown totals against BCS teams, Williams did not. I'll take the touchdown production against BCS and winning teams over less YPC.

He is right though. McCarron is obviously more talented than Krenzel. He does have some tools NFL teams want thus the term "souped up." But McCarron isn't even the most outstanding player on his own offense, let alone the entire country, so voting for him is absolutely ridiculous. A more appropriate comparison would actually be a souped up Ken Dorsey.

Looking at the FEI numbers, Stanford had the #2 defense. Against them Sankey had 27 carries for 125 yards (4.6) and 2 TDs, the next best defense he faced was at #11 Arizona State, where he had 13 carries for 22 yards and 1 TD. So in facing defenses about as good as Williams did at the top, he did much worse. Carey on the other hand had stellar numbers against the 2 best defenses he faced in Arizona State and UCLA.

If McCarron's the Heisman, Saban would have given him the ball at the end of the Auburn game instead of handing it off to Yeldon twice.

Also, why isn't anyone talking about CJ Mosley?

Maybe he thought McCarron couldn't reach the end zone from the Auburn 40. Just kidding, sort of.

What gets me is with Amari Cooper, the chances of him catching a pass in the endzone (or getting a DPI call) are considerably greater than a backup kicker hitting a 57 yard FG.

Norwood and OJ Howard wouldn't be bad targets either.

You're limiting it to two games and the Heisman is awarded for play throughout the season. Sankey played poorly against a talented Arizona State defense, which gained the lead early and thus forced Washington to play catch up for most of the game, but when you look at his performances against highly ranked defenses other than the top two he faced, it's still more impressive than Williams. If you wanna use FEI, which I don't think is a perfect statistic to judge the talent of an offense or defense a player was facing, Sankey played Zona (20), Oregon (21), Stanford (2), Arizona State (11), UCLA (15) and one bad game out of those 5 top 21 defenses based on that statistic. If you expand it to the same range, top 25 FEI defenses faced, Andre Williams played against less top 25 defenses and struggled against Clemson (15) and USC (6). Not only did Sankey play better defenses, but he played more consistently than Williams did against them.

I can live with that one. Don't get me started on the potential hail mary in an earlier post & CJ Mosley as great as he is shouldn't be up for the Heisman.

Manti Te'o was a better and more productive Heisman finalist than AJ McCarron.

AJ will just have to settle with a Maxwell & Unitas award. Not bad at all. Seeing Johnny Football get shut out of awards is golden.

My order for tonight would be this:

1. Jameis Winston
2. Johnny Manziel
3. Jordan Lynch
T-4. Andre Williams
T-4. Tre Mason
T-4. A.J. McCarron

I think Winston is the runaway favorite this year, but Manziel has been so good this year for such a bad team that he deserves some serious consideration. Lynch continues to put up video game type numbers at the quarterback position. Andre Williams, Tre Mason and A.J. McCarron were far and away the best players on their respective teams this year and are just too close a call for that last spot.

I kinda want Manziel to repeat so the Texas fanbase can continue on its epic meltdown.

Because you are so regularly uninformed and pathetic in knowledge Winston being left off 115 ballots. is not a lot. He's on 87% of ballots, 7th most alltime
