His actions pretty much spoke for what he thought about Jack Tatum. Jack Tatum is himself a cripple nowadays. Karma for you.

Tatum always believed he did absolutely nothing wrong and he never spoke to Daryl after the trajedy, but do to Tatum's actions the NFL now enforces rules to help protect WRs more and it has proved benefitial.

As sad as this really is that a player died early because of complications due to his playing days. Tatum didn't really do anything wrong. There were no rules back then about these types of hits and Tatum used them to his advantage. He was known as a head hunter and he struck fear into WR's. Tatum should have apologized to Stingley after their careers were over but I can not blame Tatum for what happened, he was playing 110% under the rules of the time and it was unfortunate for Stingley. Guess thats why some parents dont want their kids mixed up in football because of these possibilities.

If you put a man in hospital whether rightly or wrongly you phone the man, you visit the man in his Hospital, you show some compassion to a fellow player. All Tatum has ever said was "It was legal", who cares about that?
Stingley was a quadraplegic because of that hit. Tatum should have showed an ounce of the class and dignity shown by Stingley. Now Stingley has passed away and Tatum will never get to say sorry for the way things panned out.
So as Tatum sits there having suffered amputation through Diabetes I personally hope Stingley is on his mind every day.

RIP Darryl, it took a lot to be in his position and not once lash out at Tatum.
