Default Week 6 Discussion Thread

Thursday, October 10th

New York Giants at Chicago Bears

Sunday, October 13th

Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills
Detroit Lions at Cleveland Browns
Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs
Carolina Panthers at Minnesota Vikings
Pittsburgh Steelers at New York Jets
Green Bay Packers at Baltimore Ravens
St. Louis Rams at Houston Texans
Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos
Tennessee Titans at Seattle Seahawks
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers
New Orleans Saints at New England Patriots
Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys

Monday, October 14th

Indianapolis Colts at San Diego Chargers

I HOPE Geno is the turnover machine he wasn't on Monday. I think the Steelers get their first win this week, but Sheldon Richardson and Mo Wilk will make that offensive line work very hard.

With Gronk and Amondola back, I can see that NO-NE game being a very high scoring game. I'm surprised with how well the Saints D is playing despite no top pass rushers in their LB core.

If it was in PIT, I can see it but you're coming into our building and we've yet to lose in our building. Bilal Powell will need a big game against your DLine and our Front 7 need to dictate the game and disrupt your offense.

Big Ben's scrambling abilities do scare me but if Matt Cassel can lead his team to a win vs the Steelers, why can't Geno?

17-10 Jets. Game reeks of the Bills/Jets game earlier from this year.

I don't see the Saints/Pats game being high scoring. I think the Pats defense is legit and the Saints defense is the type of unit Brady normally struggles against. Rob Ryan will find ways to pressure him. The Pats need to be able to get turnovers off Brees or else they have no shot.

I think it will be 27-17 New Orleans

I might just watch the 2011 SB DVD instead of the game on Thursday. Bc why not right?

I hope we keep it competitive but lose. I'm in full rebuild mode, I want to see some young guys flash, Eli not get killed, and lose a hard fought close game so we can stay firmly ahead of everyone in the Clowney sweepstakes.

Better not take any chances with Eli. Might as well sit the starters and lose.

That's a great idea actually. I want all the young guys in there. We should be in full evaluation mode for next year as far as I'm concerned.

The Raiders have come into Arrowhead every year for the past 6 seasons and won. I hope that streak is broken this Sunday.

It worked out for the Colts.

Sometimes you have to get worse before you get better. NFL purgatory doesn't do you any favors.

Didn't work out for the Colts in the 90's though (until the late 90's). Or the Rams, or the Bengals in that span. I don't think the NYG are going to be in the dungeon for the next few years like those teams were, but assuming that being the worst you can be = good fortunes ahead is a bold position to take. If you have a good front office and scouting department you'll rebound regardless if you pick in the top five or not.

I really think the Jets D-line is going to make it a miserable day for Big Ben. It will probably be an ugly game for both teams. If Ben is able to make some big plays on broken plays, I think the Steelers win. If not, I'm giving the Jets the edge in this one.

Mo Wilk would be the perfect Elephant in Seattle's defense.

Actually JJ Watt would, but still.

You wouldn't think Washington would be that high if you just watched RGIII's play.

Jake Locker coming back to Seattle would have been a nice story line. He had beaten Pete's USC team the last two times they met. (he actually did something at the UW).

Fitzpatrick is going to be in trouble against that defense. I expect they might be able to move the ball some but he'll turn it over on more than one occasion.

I like the Tits but have to go with the homeboys on this one.

I wouldn't really consider the 2010 team a Pete Carroll team because he wasn't coaching them, although the guys playing were his recruits.

Colin Brown at -28 is kind of crazy. Nice to see Larry Warford grade out well, Mayhew hit on that one in the third round. Really poor play from Lane Johnson. Seattle's offensive line is in shambles, it could hold them back this year.

Except that the Giants are second worst to only the Jaguars in the NFL right now.

That's speaks of a severe talent deficiency that could take more than a single offseason to overcome.

Warford was the one OG everyone on SWDC seemed to love as well as a 2nd rnd and later pick. It was definitely a nice hit for Detroit.

Lane Johnson is surprising, and Seattle is in some trouble right now if the injuries are lingering.

You're right, my bad. Beating Lane Kiffin doesn't hold the same mystique does it.

PFF ranks the offensive lines so far.
Ow. I know the Ravens line is sucking but 32 is brutal. Its not all Flaccos fault clearly.
