Default A Football Life: Eric Dickerson

Trailer below. This is another interesting one. You don't see many 6'3'' running backs thrive in the NFL. Dickerson was a gem. You should watch it.

Reason why I love these is because growing up you k ew these guys were really good but it always puts it into perspective of how good. Could make a good argument he was the most talented RB to ever play the game. Best part was how much padding he wore. Seriously, this was a 6'3 back with a freaking neckroll running by people with Olympic speed lol.

And got another good laugh at Oakland from his time there and it was another example of them being terrible and making stupid decisions.

For the amount of hatred he got from the fans in the 80's, it would be ten times worse today if he was crying about his contract every ten seconds. All in all I wonder how important football was to him. In that piece he mentioned/implied that he wasn't haunted by never reaching or winning a Super Bowl. The entire show played out like he kept getting screwed money-wise. Dude should have just bit the bullet and stayed in L.A. Perhaps he was getting screwed, but going to Indianapolis didn't do him any favors.
