And it's starting up for next year too. As a Rams fan, if there's a QB in R2 that was supposed to go in R1.. just snag him, get competition going and fresh blood. Far to long as Bradford been comfortable in his position.. except on the field.

But, I won't hijack this thread.

Bradford is legitimately on the Alex Smith career track, though. You guys want to give him up when he's just a few more years away from being good?

Sometimes you're wrong about a player. It happens. No big deal and move on.

Alex Smith outplayed him BY A MILE? Lol what? Smith played a hell of a game and made a crucial mistake in crunch time. Luck played a hell of a game and made 3 bad mistakes, 40 great plays and two of the greatest clutch plays ever (hilton strike and fumble Td).

There's no question who's a better player in every qb trait there is. Smith is a good player but Luck is the type of guy who can lead his team to 45 points while accounting for 500 yards. If you didn't watch that game and come away impressed or realize now that he's truly special than you are so biased against him that nothing will change your stance, which is fine, but sad. Opinions can be fluid but people forget this because they'd rather prove they're right than learn anything or adjust a stance based on new info.

Tebow!!!??!!?? Vince young?!!?! I think Ccsd was joking at least... But come on nfldc
This is hilarious. Luck played inconsistent like no other in this game for a good part of it. 3 HORRIBLE interceptions and missed some other throws here and there. He was a big factor in the Colts being down by so much in the first place. Alex Smith did play amazingly well, especially with the injuries the Chiefs faced throughout the day on offense. The top 2 RB's down, #2 WR, and he still made great plays with minimal mistakes.

However, just as how bad Luckhe was, he was that much better when he was on point.

Now the 2 greatest clutch plays of all time???? LOLOLOL. Please.

Now, Andrew Luck is looking more and more like John Elway in regards to how they play. Elway would play horrible at points, but turn it on and make miracles happen.

Now you're all over Alex Smith because of one game? Lol. You were saying yourself you were surprised at what Smith was doing yesterday. Plus, I think he made 2 throws that weren't slants. He's a below average starter...

If we're overreacting based on one game, why don't we go back to his last game against the Colts? 5.5 yard average, 0 TDS, 1 INT, 57 passer rating. Omg he's terrible!

I'm not "all over" Alex Smith, but I think he at least qualifies as a GOOD NFL starter now. He's not great, he's not terrible, but it's clear you can win with him.

And what I said had less to do with that one particular comment and your overall attitude the last, idk, 6 months or so. It's like you're an entirely different person posting under the same username.

I agree he's not great and he's not terrible. But he's below average and I wouldn't class that as good. Semantics, though.

And what? Regarding Alex Smith? Trading two second round picks for him is still bad.

No it isn't. Second round picks aren't worth nearly as much as people make them seem.

Alex Smith just put up 44 points in a playoff game on the road without his best player. He made one bad mistake and missed like 4 throws all day. He accounted for 400 yards.

Alex Smith is good. Just face it and move on.

There's probably a time and a place to argue alex smith's merits. After his performance yesterday is not that time.

THIS is exactly what I was talking about.

When you first joined the boards you were funny and fun to have around. Now it's just this condescending douchebag attitude with every single one of your posts. Jesus. I guess this is what the ignore feature is for.

Who in the world is average to you in the NFL that Alex Smith is below on the totem pole?

The only play that will be remembered is that TD pass to Hilton at the end, because it capped the comeback. The comeback will be remembered more than any play really though.

Some people though just overlook Luck's negative play too much IMO.

SP was funny/fun to be around? Ever? Wat? I miss the anti SP movement on here. Since we just sort of stopped that hes gotten full of himself.

I thought so. I liked him and thought he was funny. I liked playing Mafia games with him too. But the last 6 months or so, christ.

Okay, I know what you're talking about. Me being condescending was in that personality test thread a few days ago lol.

This x1000

Alex Smith is so afraid of throwing a pass that's in the air more than 12 yards it's laughable.

I'm not "all over" Alex Smith, but I think he at least qualifies as a GOOD NFL starter now. He's not great, he's not terrible, but it's clear you can win with him.
And that's exactly the problem with Alex Smith, he'll be good enough to win 8+ games in his time with KC but won't be able to win a Super Bowl. The issue with being "just good" is that "just good" doesn't win SB's but takes you out of position to grab a QB who will.
