My votes:
Morten Andersen - Greatest kicker of All-Time. If there was ever or will ever be a case for a kicker, Morten Andersen is it. He should 100% be in the HoF.

Derrick Brooks - Probably the most valuable member of a defense that completely changed the way the game is played. His credentials are incredible.

Tim Brown - Tim Brown's greatness was clouded, like many great receivers of his era, by Jerry Rice's shadow. If Cris ******* Carter and Michael Irvin are in, there's no question Tim Brown, who was better by leaps and bounds, should be in.

Kevin Greene - It's almost criminal that we're talking about Kevin Greene here again. A pioneer of the rush linebacker. #3 on the sacks list, ahead of a slew of Hall of Famers - including those from his generation. Just put him in.

Will Shields - Best OG of his generation.

Yeah Haley was a nutcase. Not a dangerous person, but a nutcase. Then it came out that he was bipolar and wasn't being medicated correctly at the time. I'm sure there are tons and tons of daily stories about Haley and how he tormented his teammates with stunts like what is described in the article. That being said, he should be in the Hall of Fame. He was a menace on the field as a defender.

I'm afraid Hines Ward is going to be in the same room as Jerry Rice this way.
Ward is definitely getting in. No matter how much he doesn't deserve it.

Hines Ward is never going to be a HOFer. Very good WR who would be an asset on any NFL team, but he didn't have the raw catches, yards or TDs.

Look at how many WRs playing currently whose careers are on HOF tracks, and you see why Ward isn't ever going to make it to Canton.

I think it's ridiculous that Drew Bledsoe hasn't made the finalist list. His numbers, especially at the time he retired, warrant at least being a finalist.

If you don't count the Passing Era guys, he's #8 for yards per game (it's since been overrun). He was #7 in yards and #12 in TDs when he retired. Despite playing during the Pete Carroll years and in Buffalo, he has a positive career winning % and led the Pats to two Super Bowls (counting the 2001 AFCCG). And he played behind some of the worst OLs in history. The amount of hits he took is astounding.

It really bothers me you seriously are asking this question.

His career QB rating is 77.1
5 times in his career he either threw more interceptions than TD's, or the two matched each other(not counting his shortened seasons)
Lastly, I would say 2 seasons out of his WHOLE CAREER you could argue he was one of the top QB's of the season.

And you want to bring up postseason, he has 6 TD's and 12 INT's in his postseason career with a 54 QB Rating. he was awful during the Pats Super Bowl run in 1996 too.

He should never be a finalist.

Your face is awful and your dad is cool.

In that Super Bowl run, the running game was largely shut down and Ben Coates was rendered useless as he had to stay in to block because the OL was so freaking bad. That year accounted for 7 of those 12 playoff INTs three more came in his 2nd year in the league, and the other 2 were in a win in the AFCCG against the Steelers when he'd been out of action for 16-17 weeks.

There are far less convincing cases that regularly make it to the Final 15.

Your face is disgusting and your mom is awesome.

In his 7 career postseason games, he finished with a QB rating over 70 only twice and his highest was 77.9.

Also, the game against the Steelers in which he threw 2 interceptions, you forgot to mention he played the week prior in the AFC Wildcard playoff game. So yeah....

Bledsoe will never be finalist at all. He was never arguably the best quarterback in the NFL during his best years. And he really didn't play that well after he was replaced by Tom Brady when he went to Buffalo. He never won anything as a starter so that hurts him as well.

No he didn't. The week prior to that was the Tuck Rule game (in the Divisional Round).

And, newsflash, most QBs (especially prior to the Manning Rules) have ****** stats in the playoffs compared to the regular season.

NO
HE
DIDN'T

Against the Steelers in the AFC Championship Game in 2001 he went 10-21 for 102 yards, 1 TD and 0 INT's.

In the 1997 AFC Divisional Round against the Steelers, he went 23-44 for 264 yards, 0 TD's and 2 INT's. Amazingly enough, the Pats only lost that game 7-6.

Do you guys feel art Modell deserves to be in the hall of fame? If he stayed in Cleveland would he be in the HOF?

I think his chance has come and gone. Modell was a finalist last year but didn't even reach the Last 25 semi-final list for 2014. The voters have moved on and without a separate category for coaches/contributors he's never going to get in.

Had he stayed in Cleveland? Probably. Then again, Eddie D would probably be there too by now had it not been for his legal problems.

Dan Fouts was better than Drew Bledsoe as a passer though. He had a couple of years where he was arguably the best passer in the NFL. I think '79 and the strike shortened '82 season off the top of my head. Same with Warren Moon.

Bledsoe went to a Super Bowl, which is the highlight of his career. At the same time you got a guy like Kenny Anderson who also went, but isn't in the Hall of Fame. I'd put him in over Bledsoe.

I wouldn't put Harrison or Wayne in. When in doubt, ask yourself, "do they do something that pops out athletically?" I would never vote for a proposed "technician" unless he produces in bad situations. The dumbest assumption in the world to make is that a receiver who doesn't run after the catch and doesn't beat people deep is that he is a "great route runner." Have you seen him running routes and beating people one-on-one, as opposed to getting open off great route combinations/design?

The general rule of thumb is, if he doesn't do anything to impress you athletically, he's probably a system player.

John Lynch belongs nowhere near the HOF. What in the world is going on here? Lynch was basically the invisible man after leaving Tampa Bay. And when he was in Tampa Bay, he was just a glorified linebacker. Couldn't cover a book.

I also laugh at the fact that Charles Woodson will probably be voted in some day. Woodson was not only not great, he wasn't even GOOD. He was a legitimately BAD cornerback...but they let him freelance and people think he's good because he'd gamble for interceptions and they'd use him on blitzes. Never mind all the times he was burned.

Woodson was serviceable in Oakland, but nothing special - got that "2-way college player hype," which is why people suck off Patrick Peterson and thought Pacman Jones was worth a sh-t. He was terrible in Green Bay. Ran no better than the average linebacker.

Woodson couldn't carry Al Harris's jock strap as a corner...are people gonna vote in Harris? Course not. Harris was good, not great. Woodson was downright poor.

LOL...Bledsoe in the HOF. Typical Patriots fan. Hilarious. To be fair, I actually saw Bledsoe play some legitimately great games once in a while. 2005 Cowboys/Chiefs, for instance. He had talent, but he never mastered the mental part of the position.

And he sure as hell doesn't belong within a 50 mile radius of the HOF.

Now tell me your thoughts on Torry Holt, Kurt Warner, Isaac Bruce, Jerome Bettis, Rod Smith and Champ Bailey.

Charles Woodson will end up in Canton.
As will Marvin Harrison(most HOF WRs had good QBs...every player is a product to some degree of a 'system'. The NFL isn't sandlot, they're actually running plays), and likely Reggie Wayne.

Peyton was blessed to play with exceptional WR talent in Indy. Brady had straight up JAGs at wideout except the year he had Randy Moss.

Great production from a WR-QB combo is a collaboration. No WR makes a 4K yards passing/35 TD QB. Likewise no QB makes a 1500 yard, 10+ TD WR.

If WR talent was irrelevant to a great QB like Peyton, he would've signed with SF when he was a FA.

Charles Woodson was a BAD corner?? Overrated, maybe. Definitely not average. And I never saw a 'bad' corner in Charles Woodson.

Ike Taylor is my definition of a 'bad' starting NFL corner. Taylor can't sniff Woodson's farts.

A personal bias against a player shouldn't preclude objectivity.

Charles Woodson is a former DPOTY, DROTY, 3x 1st team All-Pro, 8x Pro Bowler, he's got more INTs than Darrell Green, Ty Law,Champ Bailey and Deion Sanders, a SB ring and the 2nd most INTs returned for TDs in NFL history.

Bad corner?? Stop hating bro.

Even as a Bucs fan, I can't figure out how John Lynch made the most recent cut, but Steve Atwater did not.

Not that it really matters. Neither of them are getting in any time soon, because it's next to impossible for safeties to be inducted. Maybe they'll get in on a weak year once Ed Reed breaks the barrier for safeties and the voters realize how few of them are actually in the Hall.
