If Barr fell to the Jets and can play 3-4 OLB, then solid pick. I do think the Jets resign Pace though, which if so might put the need for that position into day 3.

I can live with Nix, but in our system, the NT is not asked to make plays, rather instead occupying a couple of blockers, eating them up and freeing the LBs up to make plays.
In that case, I don't think they need a NT with a premium pick, if an ILB like Mosely is available.

Our ILBs are poor.
Our safeties are horrible.

With Pryor & Ha-Ha gone in this scenario, I could see Nix being chosen, but I would prefer Mosely if his health checks out.

Your scenario here though is quite realistic.

I went back and forth between 4 players
Louis Nix III, NT, Notre Dame
Lamarcus Joyner, S/CB, Florida St.
CJ Mosley, ILB, Alabama
Jimmie Ward, S, NIU

And I think I would change it because it's starting to look like the Packers and Raji are closing in on a deal that I was un-aware of last night.

The Jets have been signing Pace on a year to year basis. I disagree that pushes the need for a long term option at OLB a day three need. It's a need the Jets may not address (heck, they haven't so far) until day three, but if was there at #18, Anthony Barr would IMO be the best player available.

Crickett is right on on the money. The Jets could be a great situation for Barr where he can be brought along slowly behind Pace as he improves strength and continues to learn the position. Meanwhile Barr's high upside as a pass rusher and versatility would be great for the Jets long-term and be seems to fit the physical profile of what they look for in the position. Obviously they could pass, but I think Barr will very much be in play for the Jets if he's there at 18.

EDIT: Moncrief at 49 too? Sign me up. That would be an awesome start to the draft.

Amaro is not a fit for the Bills in the 2nd. Either OL, WR, or OLB with preferences towards Yankey, Moncrief, and Van Noy respectively

Beckham Jr. is a nice pick in the first round for Baltimore but Ja'Wuan James is a pretty big reach in the second round. Even though left tackle looks like it will be a need Newsome won't do something like that.

46. Pittsburgh Steelers: Austin Serafin-Jenkins, TE, Washington
49. New York Jets: Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss

I think I would have to consider switching these picks if I had to do it over again.

WR is at best 5th on the list of needs for KC, but S is #1, and you have Ward going 1 pick later.

I think Ward and Berry do a lot of similar things and I don't know if they will fit into the same system. If Pryor where to fall to this spot I believe he would be a much better fit. I also thought about going w/ a RT like Kouandjio or Moses to replace Albert when they move Fisher to the left side. It was a toss up and I went w/ the playmaker from Oregon St.

I'm hoping we address the offensive line in free agency, so that we are free to take other positions in the draft. That being said, it's a solid draft for Miami based on our current needs.
