Listened to a few. Really well done.

In regard to the Manziel pick, you mentioned that there isn't going to be any gray area. With QB's in general, this is the case. Either you have a guy who can win in the playoffs, or you don't. I guess guys like Alex Smith and Matt Ryan can be considered players who fall into that gray area, but practically speaking, they aren't guys you're happy with. Speaking of young QB's, you want guys like Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, Andrew Luck. Wilson or Kaepernick could have gone either way, but each had the physical tools to excel if they careers took the right trajectory. I see Manziel the same way. If things fall into place, he has the athletic traits to win in the playoffs. What you don't want as a franchise is one of these QB's who do fall in this gray area (which I see as black, rather than gray), where they're just good enough to contend for playoff spots, just good enough keep you out of the top 10 and from drafting their replacements. It's the reason Harbaugh moved on from Smith to Kaepernick.

The main thing I don't get is why the raiders should play Carr ASAP. It should be the same reasoning as it is for Bortles, don't break him by playing him in a poor offense, take it slow and let Schaub take the hits then start him when the offense is built up more around Carr.

I still haven't listened to the section on the Raiders, but if there's one QB I'd sit for at least 2 years, it'd be Carr. His pocket awareness and deep ball accuracy need VAST improvement. He'll fail if played early - almost guaranteed. But he does have some really nice physical tools.
