Naaaah! The group at LSU is better. They all are quality RBs and most are very versatile.

When was the last time LSU had better RBs than Auburn?? Talent wise the group currently at Auburn is as good as a few years back when Cadillac Williams, Ronnie Brown, and Brandon Jacobs were all on the roster. LSU always has some "incredible talent" at RB, and 9 times out of 10 these guys end up looking like nothing special.

Lester: Can score anytime he touches the ball, the only thing stopping him from being a first/second-round NFL prospect at this point is his thin frame.
Tate: Rivals100, Maryland's all Time leading Rusher. Played as a true Freshman last year and lit it up in a few games.
Fannin: Complete beast, if you want to talk about versatility he was converted to WR at one point last year.
Davis: He'll never make the NFL as a RB but this guy can fly (which is why he's probably the SEC's best kickoff return specialist). If he finds a hole he's not getting caught.

LSU's runningback situation isn't really that great. Williams is a good player, and Broussard has potential but he's always injured or out of shape. Not nearly as good s Aubrun's group.

I think thats very subjective, honestly. You could make a case for both sides.

From what I can see, Lester is the only one with any real playing experience, so how do we even know the others are as good as advertised? Lester's pretty damn good though, I'll give you that. All the other guys are surpremely talented but who really knows how they'll produce?

I expect great things from LSU's group this year, so we'll see how it turns out. Keiland Williams is pretty much a bigger Joe Addai, Charles Scott has drawn comparisons to Jamall Lewis when he was at Tennessee, Alley Broussard was a monster only two years ago, and Trindon Holliday may well be the fastest guy in the SEC.

I think "better" won't really mean much when you look at how good both of these groups are.

LaBrandon Toefield, Domanick Davis, Addai and Shyrone Carey, maybe? I'm not sure if all those guys were on the Auburn roster then, but Toefield and Davis were monsters at LSU. Thats about the only time in recent memory I can think of.

Antone Smith is only 5'9, 190 lbs, but he plays like he's 210 lbs. He's got 4.3 speed, and freakish strength(430 lb bench max).

From what I saw last year from Tate, and this spring from Tate and Fannin, both are going to be beasts. The LSU group is deep but none are very impressive. Lester had more yards last year than any LSU back. Tate had over 7 ypc last season. LSU has a good group that goes together well, but they don't have the dynamic backs Auburn has.

I like Williams chances to become someone like that. I think a lot of the problem for LSU last year was the offensive line, and the fact that Jacob Hester was the guy getting the ball almost every down. Hes tought, but Hester's more of a fullback than anything.

Williams was probably the best back we had as soon as he was recruited, but the clearing house held him up in getting to fall practice so he didn't play much until after mid-season.

Broussard has so much potential is ridiculous. Hes mind-bogglingly frustrating.

He's only going to be a freshman this year, but he fits the mold of your description.

Brandon Saine is 6'1, 210-220 lbs, and runs a 4.3 forty or potentially faster. He's the fastest guy to ever come from the State of Ohio. Set the ohio record for the 100 meter dash, and finished third nationally in track competitions. Not to mention that he's a pretty powerful runner.

I heard he was the best back during spring ball. Can't wait to see him in action running all over Auburn.

I know he isn't up to those size specs listed earlier but Cornell Tarrant tore up at our Spring Game this weekend and should make our RB core even better.

Yeah he is crazy nuts. I had to sit in the stands and watch him destroy my old high school team in this years playoffs. It wasn't pretty and he really did it all on his own because his Oline was getting abused.
