HDFight doesn't really have alot of great fighters but they have agreements with other organizations which allows them to co-promote and have their fighters take on fighters from other organizations.
One of those companies is M-1 so if this whole thing works out Couture should fight Fedor.
EDIT; M-1 isn't one of those companies they co-promote with but Fedor's deal is non-exclusive with M-1 so i'd imagine it wouldn't be that tough for him to fight in a seperate organization for a single fight.

Fedor has said he has wanted this fight for months, so why would he duck it?
That isn't even mentioning the fact he would own Randy in any fight.

I think Randy might of stood a chance in a cage, but it looks like this fight will take place in a ring which favors Fedor heavily

When, in his history, has Fedor ever ducked a fight?
The guy fears no man.

Yea Wand even said "No one wants to fight Fedor" and the only guy to publically say he wants Fedor is Mark Coleman.

Seems Lesnar is in talks with Justin McCully for his next fight.
Great fight for Lesnar to get his feet wet. McCully trains with Team Punishment, which is Tito's MMA team. McCully is a ground fighter, so this should play right into Brock's hands if the fight happens.
A guy like McCully probably should have been his first fight, but Lesnar did not want to fight some random can.

let's be real. I know fedor is a badass, and even randy would know going into the fight that he'd be the underdogg, but if fedor really wanted randy that bad he would've signed with ufc long ago.

There is a lot more than simply signing a contract with the UFC because you want to fight a guy, we all know the UFC doesn't pay there fighters well compared to other organizations, plus there are plenty of people that don't like the way Dana White does things.

Obviously you haven't read about the UFC demands.
They would not let Fedor compete in Sambo tournaments. Fedor is one of the best Sambo fighters in the world and Sambo is his first love.
Fedor also had no right to give interviews, do TV appearances or anything to gain exposure in America without the UFC's consent. The contract could also be thrown away if Fedor lost just one fight.
It also asked that he fight EIGHT times in a two year period. If he was undefeated after that time, the contract extended, but his pay would not increase a single dime.
So let me ask you, would you accept that contract just to fight one fighter?
Say for instance you walked in a car lot with your heart set on buying a Rover, but the contract you were about to sign was going to bend you over without the lube, would you sign it just for the fact you wanted a Range Rover?
M1 has been trying to co-promote a Randy vs Fedor fight since Fedor signed, but Dana White does not want to give any exposure to any competing organization.
So I really don't see where you are coming from.

im sure they could've negotiated/re-negotiated the contract if both parties really wanted each other. It's not like one contract is final, UFC wouldve done whatever it takes to get him.
I just don't think it was ever that big a desire of fedor's to fight randy.

No, Dana White never really had a big desire to sign Fedor, because he's not a very marketable guy in US.
Plus all those stipulations that bwillie26 mentioned prevented the deal from getting done.
Couture had NOTHING to do with Fedor's decision to sign with another organization.
Fedor is not afraid of Couture. Why would he be? He has more skills then Couture.

Ah, well there are other places like Sopcast. Just use Google.
I'm still living in the stone age of dial-up, so none of those sites do me any good nor do I ever check them. :)

MMAjunkie.com has a report that CBS and Elite XC have reached an agreement for live prime time shows. The story said the shows would take place every other month. That is the deal UFC had been working on for months and may represent the most important MMA news since UFC got on Spike TV three years ago. While not in the story, the show is expected to be on Saturday nights.
