I hope Benson doesn't get a suspension. While Scott is a decent backup, I dont want to start our season without Cedric. Things were going along nicely for him from everything I can tell, heck we were just talking about an extension for him.

I think we'll be just fine if we don't have Cedric for a few games. While I'd certainly prefer him to be there, I believe in Bernard Scott.

TMZ saying TO to the Bengals but apparently they're getting way ahead of themselves. Carson has been working out with him which helps but I'm just not sure.

I don't think TO would be a problem in 1 year with his attitude nor do I think he's completely finished but I just don't see the fit after the Bryant signing. I'm really indifferent on the idea at this point.

The FO and Lewis thought they were done talking about this option. However, the combination of TO not signing with anyone and Palmer's recent comments have kept this story going. I really doubt this will happen. The only thing that can change this is if Bryant's knee is not at 100% and we should know about this really soon with camp kicking in.

Yea the whole reason your hearing about this is the fact Bryants knee has been in question. We allready have one whiney cry baby receiver on the team I'd rather not have another. Plus there are alot of young guys who need to get a chance to play. You spent alot of picks recently on WR's and with Chad 85 more then likely gone after this season its time to find out if they can handle it.

I wouldn't mind TO on the Bengals, I think it would help us that much more. The young guys can still come in make plays, we just wouldnt be asking them to do it everytime

I don't see how it could be anything but good for this team. We need to win now and he's still got something left in the tank plus its probably going to be rather cheap atc. I also think that this club is loaded with veteran leadership on both sides of the ball so he won't be too much of a distraction. Not that all that ESPN locker room soap opera ******** really matters anyway.

The thing about Owens is he's never been that big of a problem in his first year at any team, I'm just not concerned about that. I'm more concerned about fit.... But if they're going after him, clearly they see a need and fit for him.

Guess we just traded David Jones for Reggie Nelson straight up. Not much of a deal for either side, though if Jones stays healthy he's going to be a solid #3 down there. Haven't seen a whole lot of Reggie Nelson since Florida, but apparently that's a good thing as he busted pretty hard.

Here's the final depth chart after the cuts:

Quote:
QUARTERBACKS (3)
Carson Palmer, J.T. O’Sullivan, Jordan Palmer

WIDE RECEIVERS (6)
Chad Ochocinco, Terrell Owens, Jordan Shipley, Andre Caldwell, Jerome Simpson, Quan Cosby

RUNNING BACKS (4)
Cedric Benson, Bernard Scott, Brian Leonard, Cedric Peerman

TIGHT ENDS (3)
Jermaine Gresham, Reggie Kelly, Daniel Coats

OFFENSIVE LINE (9)
LT Andrew Whitworth, LG Nate Livings, C Kyle Cook, RG Bobbie Williams, RT Dennis Roland, RT Andre Smith, T Anthony Collins, C/G Evan Mathis, C/G Reggie Stephens

DEFENSIVE LINE (9)
E Robert Geathers, T Domata Peko, T Tank Johnson, E/T Antwan Odom, E/T Jon Fanene, E/T Frostee Rucker, T Pat Sims, T Geno Atkins, E Carlos Dunlap

LINEBACKERS (7)
Dhani Jones, Keith Rivers, Rey Maualuga, Michael Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Dan Skuta, Roddrick Muckelroy

SECONDARY (9)
S Roy Williams, S Chris Crocker, S Chinedum Ndukwe, S Reggie Nelson, CB Johnathan Joseph, CB Leon Hall, CB Adam Jones, CB Morgan Trent, CB Brandon Ghee

SPECIALISTS (3)
K Mike Nugent, P Kevin Huber, LS Clark Harris
Kinda sucks getting rid of Coffman, but the progression of Gresham has really left him out of a job since he can't block. Plus, we had to keep Coats because of his FB experience. I really hope Briscoe clears waivers, because he'll end up being a stud.

Personally I love the trade, Reggie hasn't performed well so in his career but he has a lot of potential. David Jones was bad and was one of my most hated Bengals so I'm extremely happy he is gone although we gave up a conditional draft pick as well.

Here's to Zimmer making Nelson in the pro bowler he was supposed to be

Yea I like that move to get LeFevour, too. Kinda sad we got rid of Chase Coffman though, figured he'd eventually figure this whole blocking thing out.

He is on the practice squad so still has time to work on it.

I also hope we make a move for Tony Richardson even though he is old

Despite his age, Richardson would easily be an upgrade at FB over Leonard and add veteran leadership to the backfield.

And I have a question, would DE Aaron Schobel be an upgrade over Odom and/or Geathers? If so, I think we should go after him too. Thoughts?

Richardson is a seasoned vet and would be an enormous upgrade at FB.

Schobel is retired and there's really no point in going after him because we would then have to cut someone else, which would be borderline asinine.

Richardson has re-signed with the Jets. At this point they are better off justing useing Coats and Kelly at FB.
