I'm going to try and go to the Monday Night game coming up in a couple of weeks. Going to school out of state doesnt allow me to get to go to many games unless it is after the semester ends.

Hope this is a good game this weekend guys, but I gotta say having Crusty Rusty at QB gives me about zero hope. But losing and helping our draft position to land/trade up for Locker or Mallett would make things bittersweet, cause there ain't no way in hell we're making the playoffs.

Anyway, here's to an injury-free game and stoking the fires to this rivalry!

My god did Cush get back on the juice hahah. I have been waiting for that all season. He wont get player of the week because he didnt have any sacks or ints but WOW he was amazing.

Cortland got what he deserved. I hate that little albino ****. That kinda player should not be allowed in the NFL. I just wish Dre would of knocked his ass out.

Great game, I got the chance to watch some individual players at length during the game which was a good opportunity. Here are some things I noticed:

Glover Quinn- he had a career day with 3 picks, but even outside of those he played extremely well and had pretty tight coverage all day.
Brian Cushing- also had a monster day and looked to be back to his old form out there with several great stops in the backfield.
Duane Brown- I've been disappointed with this pick ever since we made it, and watching him on Sunday didn't give me any reason to change my mind. He really needs to work on his hand-work and leverage.
Jason Allen- still sucks

Overall thoughts:
We still need to work on discipline, I remember we had to call a time out on a 4th down punt because players weren't in position for the play.

The defensive line is massive- Amobi is built like a tree trunk and Mario is a monster with incredible size and the physique of a linebacker. Antonio Smith to a lesser extent also looks like an absolute freak. I've got to believe that if we didn't have to sell out so much to stop the pass and can leave Pollard in the box all game the Texans could have a top run defense. We saw just how effective they can be when we aren't getting raped through the air.

The fight got everyone in the crowd as rowdy as I've ever seen, I'm hoping we don't lose Andre to a suspension. The guy got a standing ovation after he was escorted from the field, everyone was happy to see that dirt bag Finnegan get his.

No suspension-which was the only way to do it. Andre is a wideout, and they are usually loud and trouble makers. He has never been in trouble, that I know of. I am sure that Finnegan asked for it. Whatever the story is, you have to take Andre's side. He has always been a class act. For a wideout, and one from Miami at that, he is a perfect citizen.

As far as the Texans go, it just makes me so frustrated...if there ever was a year to just be good, this is it. Every team in the division is killing theirselves. And yet we can't capitalize on anything.

I still think this team has playoff-type talent. It must be the coaching staff.

If it isn't coaching, I have no idea.

I wonder how much of Dre not getting a suspension has to do with the fact that we play on the NFL network this week, and the NFL wants one of its biggest stars in that game. I'm not saying i think he deserves it but i figured he would of gotten 1 game.

I want to get excited about Quin and his 3 picks, but those were 3 really bad balls he picked off. But hopefully that builds his confidence and gets him turned around and going in the right direction.

Does anyone know why Cush and Bently had JV on there arms?

I was wondering the same thing, if Cushing's wearing it it's probably something that optimizes his body's nutrients or zen or something.

I am embarrassed to admit I have not heard the Optimus Prime nickname. I am sure I am the last one to hear it, and am showing how dumb I am. But that is great!!!!!

I have never seen a team that has so much talent just refuse to be a playoff team.

It might be close to time to shut AJ down for the year so he can start getting that ankle taken care of.

Things aren't looking good, even looking forward towards the draft there aren't a whole lot of good CB/FS options where we will likely be picking...

I wish our defense wasnt so bad because I am starting to turn into a big Justin Blackmon homer and would love to see him next to AJ. Since our secondary is so bad, I would try doing whatever possible to trade up and get Patrick Peterson. By the 5th pick or so, one of the two big CB's should still be available. Based off of Scott's mock, if we traded up to the 6th spot from the 15th spot then we could do so by giving up a second rounder. To get Peterson, I would say it would be worth it.

What really blows about this season is that the Colts are giving away the AFC south and we are not there to take it. Jax is.

Should be an interesting Monday Nighter. While I'm a Ravens fan, Andre Johnson is my favorite player in the NFL. This will be the one game I'll have to root against him.

The Ravens traditionally suck on Monday Night, so I don't have a good feeling about this game.

I thought this was really the year the Texans would make the playoffs. What makes it worse is that Manning is not on. You wont have seasons with that happening very often.

I actually like the Quintin Demps pickup much better than Jason Allen. Since he used to play for the Eagles I've seen quite a bit of him, and unless he's just really let himself go since getting cut he's a pretty good backup DB. Most of his issues have been mental and he has some anger problems (probably not good to pair him with Pollard), but physically he's a good player to take a shot on.

On top of that he's a pretty solid return man, and I know no one wants to watch Slaton step out of bounds on the 1 anymore on kickoffs.

I'm done for this season. I can't root for Kubiak at all. I don't know what I'll do if he's not fired after this season, but I'll keep watching and hoping for a better future.

The reason is how they have mishandled Mario Williams injury. I don't know if you all remember, but Mario was taking steroidal shots at the beginning of the season to deal with a hip problem. Turns out that hip problem was a sports hernia. Turns out that without surgery the only other real effective way to heal is to rest, stay away from football. Not give the man shots. Not only that, but Kubiak does not plan to change how they are dealing with the situation. Instead they are going to use the break between our beatdown in Philly the Baltimore game to let him "rest". Really Kubes, your season is DONE!! I want to see this team win as much as anyone else, but when you throw in ineptitude on how to handle injuries, I just don't know how to support that. SCREW KUBIAK!!

Okay, now that thats out of my system. The off-season doesn't look so bad, if there's a season next yr. it'll mean they worked out an agreement and there may be a bunch of unexpected free agents. Hopefully whatever new staff we bring won't be averse to bringing in veteran leadership.

I watch all the press conferances that Kubs does, and its the same old crap everytime. Nothing changes, i dont know how many times i have heard him say "were going to keep going with what were doing." I hate that we are alive in the division cause it gives me a bit of hope, when in reality there is no hope. Kubs will not change the way they do things, Kubs will not get rid of Bush or admit that Bush was an awful hire. If Kubs is our coach next year we can expect the same thing, and being the dumb fan that i am my heart will win the battle over my brain and make me believe there is a chance and then i will be making this same post this time next year.

I know Kubiak is a terrible coach, but what do you guys think of him as an OC?

I would love to see Baltimore pick him up as OC, if he indeed gets fired.

Overrated. The guy may be able to implement a great scheme but come gameday he's not really good at executing. It's common knowledge that when he was in Denver it was actually Shanny calling the plays. Since he's been here he's proven he can put a good offense together, but he can't get them to sustain critical drives or be consistent. If he was under Harbough I think his damage to games would be kept to a minimum because he wouldn't have the final say.

Anything would be an upgrade over Cam though.
