I wanna know where all these blitz packages have been all year. Did Bush just turn to the back of his play book and say "oh **** what are these plays were safeties and linebackers other than Cush rush the QB?" That was the D we needed all year, and we got it for only 1 half of a game.

I think this shows how crappy of an offense the Ravens have....

Helluva game last night. That was exciting to watch. I was rooting for you guys. I wish you could have pulled it out.

This Texans team seems so close to putting it all together and being a SuperBowl contender. I'll be rooting for you.

/Browns fan.

I have to agree with several posters here. It is embarrassing. It is frustrating to watch such a vanilla defense for the first half of football. It makes me angry that they start blitzing safeties in the second half and the color analysts start showing that the Raven's blockers dont't know how to pick up a safety blitz. Are the coaches watching no game film???? That is what it looks like to me. Safety blitzes were shown to work in the past. The Texans have no idea in the first half what they should do. They figure it out in the second half, but have already spotted the other team 20 points. I am tired of this-catch up at the end of the game.

Also, did anyone else notice the route that was used on the last touchdown, 2pt conversion and then the interception that lost the game? Optimus Prime and J Jones were in the same area. What? You got it done on the touchdown, and the 2pt conversion worked out. But try it again in sudden death? Seems to me Shaub was set up to fail. He could throw the ball into traffic, again... or he could take a sack. Which results in a safety-relative to where they were at on the field. I don't like the play calling at all. Maybe I am using 20/20 vision the second after the game is over. But, come on...

Maybe I am taking crazy pills, but why not run the ball a little in overtime? The Raven's defense looked soooo tired. And we have a thouroughbred in the backfield. I would have ran the ball at least once, trying to make thrid down more manageable.

@HEISMAN

Yeah, I thought it was curious that Optimus Prime and Jacoby Jones were bottled up on three consecutive plays... Jacoby tried to touch Andre's touchdown catch, then Jacoby grabbed the two pt conversion which I believe was intended for Andre.. Then the interception was just thrown in the area that those two were in. It was odd to see two receivers running routes connected at the hip. I don't know if one of them was running bad routes, or if that is a designed play. But there's not way Schaub should throw the ball into four defensive players. Because we all know that Andre was getting tripled teamed during those last couple drives, plus you have Jacoby Jones' defender in the general area too... Odd play calling.

We have been dealing with odd play calling all year.

typical loss. find a way to get our hopes up and then crush em'. Mario went on IR. So did D. Anderson and someone else. According to J. Mclain.

Reports of Cowher as a big possibility to be in Houston next year has me super excited. Imagine the D missing a bunch of tackles and having to walk over to the sideline and have that chin pointing at them. Cowher will not allow all these stupid mistakes. And he will hire a really good staff.

Too many injuries, players being suspended, no experience in the secondary, and so on has really hurt us.

We gotta beat the Broncos. I don't see us beating the Jags. So we have to win tomorrow. I know the season is over, but at least give us 6-10.

We might as well just go for the better draft position by now. At least we could be in position to trade up and maybe make an attempt for Patrick Peterson or Amukamara and not give up too much.

No way, I want a win. I dunno why, it just suddenly hit me. I want to see my team win before the end of the season. We can beat the Jags. If nothing else then at least for pride. If we loose to the Jags that'll be 4 in a row for them. We beat the Colts and the Tacks once each let's split our record in the south at least. Look if we end up with a 6-10 record I think we'll still be in the top ten. I think 07 with the same record we had the seventh pick.

Yesterday was really disappointing BTW. I really doubt Kubiak gets a shot in Denver as a head coach. After the McDaniels debacle I can't see them going for a 5-11 6-10 coach.

I saw an interview with Antonio Smith after the game and he was talking how they had plays were they only had 10 defenders on the field and that guys were being sub'ed into the game and didnt know what position they were supposed to line up in.

I dont see how Kubs can be back next season.

I feel certain that Kub's gonna be gone. With how disappointing this season has been, there's really no reason to keep him. We are going to see a major shuffling of personnel. Rick Smith's contract goes til 2012, but I just don't know if he's the man for the job. I was unhappy with the Kareem Jackson pick when we made it, and I'm still unhappy with it.

It sucks to readdress the same position, but we've got to take a CB. We are going to have a good shot at either Prince or Peterson.

The latest is that Kubs will not be fired and that Wade Phillips will be brought in to coach the D. Not sure what I think of this, I think Wade is a really good D coach, but is he tough enough to get the most out of these guys?

David Gibbs should not only be fired but he should get beat up as well, this was one of the worst hires Kubs ever made. When Gibbs was in KC there DBs blew, and now that he is gone they have one of the better defensive back fields in the league.

I get the whole deal about Kubs and the offense he has created here, but at the same time I tired of constantly seeing us throw the ball short on 3rd downs, running the ball on 2nd at 15 or more, dropped passes. I swear every team in the league has to know that if we have 2nd and 15 plus we are going to run up the middle.

If Kubs stays he needs to fire all coaches besides the RB coach. I would love to see a big name OC and DC come here. I know it might not be a popular pick but I would welcome Josh McDaniels at OC. At DC i think getting Marvin Lewis would be a dream and I would welcome Phillips.

Hahah i forgot about Ben Tate. I think the real question is what happens to Derrick Ward and Slaton. Foster and Tate can be a great combo. Slaton should be gone and i would like to see Ward stay on, he has made some really good plays for us.

The only way I could see Foster not getting the majority of the carries is if we have a new coach that brings in a whole new blocking and run system.

This has been a very fustrating couple of years. I feel you 100% right now, but I know that next season i will be full of hope and excitment when the season starts, i dont know your personally but I'm sure you will be too haha.

I dont believe Kubs is the right guy, but he has never had a good staff either. Who knows what couple happen if they get better coaches around him.

Datchapin don't leave our fanbase. Without the faithful what do we have? The Texans are a top 10 valuable franchise because of fans like you. So I sincerely hope you don't mean it when you say that, because we have a good draft and a good future ahead of us. I don't believe your hyperbole Datch I know you're as big a Texans fan as any of us.

I'm sorry. I don't wanna leave, but I'm done with Kubiak. I remember a time when we would actually talk football here. Now it's like I'm not even motivated to analize the games. I want Kubiak gone! Simple as that, over the yrs. things have changed, some for the better some for the worse, but Kubiak has lost me. This is more than a game for me, it's my escape from all the stress of reality. I know there will always be a level of frustration, but the degree it's reached with me I feel it would be unhealthy to re-invest myself in a Kubiak led team.

I'm not gonna sit here and say I'm done forever, but as long as Kubiak is on board I can't. Also I just went through alot in the past month. Right now theres all this speculation of Kubiak staying and Wade taking over at DC. I'm sorry, but a new DC won't improve Kubiaks decision making, clock management or other shortcomings that fall squarely on Kubiak. I hope Kubiak is gone, because I know we have a great team. A missile that needs someone to point it at the playoffs. Come Monday, I'm praying that Kubiak gets the axe. I don't ever pray, but I'm serious about this. I want to go back to enjoying the game of football and believing my team has a shot at doing something special.
