I think the amount of attention the "miracles" song is recieving is a bit undue.

Sure it's a poorly concieved idea riddled with simplistic explanations for the complex (how does magnets work hurr durr... miracles be everywhere)

But at least it was a positive idea. They're just trying to tell you to appreciate the little things in your life. If you contrast that with some of there earlier creations i'd say it's at least a step in the right direction.

What I don't understand is: Why do people find ICP's logical ineptitude so amusing that they feel it deserves the volume of spam content/virtual lampooning its gotten?

It is funny.

My only beefs are the amount attention it's getting

And how people are putting it down in absolutes... like the song has no redeeming qualities. I think it's like that cliche story guy tries to destroy monster but in order to destroy he has to stoop to it's level and thus in destroying the monster he becomes the monster himself.
