Tony Woods is shooting up the rankings after the summer he's had, he's progressed very well. He was a mid 100 type guy but now he might be breaking top 20 on some rating sites.

Thought this was worth a post... It's an interview with last years Senior leader Bobby Perry in which he doesn't have very good words for Tubby.

http://www.amnews.com/public_html/?m...17&format=html

I've also heard several stories of players saying off the record that they didn't like Tubby, even so much that they would encourage recruits to go elsewhere because they were frustrated with his style of play.

Our entire fanbase was talked down in the media and on various message boards as being too demanding or not having realistic expectations yet things have gone a WHOLE lot better since Tubby has been gone.

Once Tubby is gone, a lot of bad words are flying around about him. I just found it interesting how they said Bobby Perry was a former star.

I especially thought it backed up kinda what we as a fanbase have been saying because Perry was a senior so it's not like he's bitter that Tubby left him.

Sheraye and Woo have also talked down Tubby to the media. I thought it was just us as a fanbase who wanted him to move on but the players seemed to agree with us.

Perry definetely had kinder words for Gillispie than Tubby.

No matter how bad Tubby was, Woo can't say anything. I mean, c'mon.

Wake Forest Coach Skip Prosser dies while jogging.
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2950229

It is always upsetting when someone who is a college coach or just a cashier at a grocery store dies so unexpectedly.

That is crazy, my buddy told me and I was shocked.

In lesser news I wonder who they'll hire and what the '08 recruits will do.

New season starts this weekend and already there is one upset.

#8 Michigan State lost to DII Grand Valley St. in 2OTs.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3092661

I don't believe the game actually counts though, but it shows that once again, Michigan St. is overrated.

watch out for Kosta Koufous. If he plays well this year he will be the #1 pick in the draft and OSU will be deep into the tourney again.

homer much?

i've not been all that impressed with the footage i've seen from him. i'm sure he'll do well against those big-televen powers.

so i went to the Uconn exhibition game on thursday and things do not look good for the season. The team does not look any better than last season. At least we have the football team this year.

how is that being a homer, its true. He was the 2nd best big man coming out of high school behind kevin love and if Koufous has a good year, im sure an NBA team will draft him with a very high lottery pick because he is a perimeter big man. There was an article about this in Sporting News. Also if you dont think OSU will have a good year, you are wrong. Matta is a great coach and they have Butler, Hunter, Koufous, Lighty, Diebler, Lauderdale, Terwilleger.

Kosta played against shrimps in High School, we'll see how he does against stiffer competition this year. He's a very good talent, but before you crown him as the next #1 pick, lets see him perform against some competition.

When Drew Neitzel has the most pro potential on your roster you know you're overrated at #8.

Raymar Morgan ring any bells? They have a ton of talent on that team. Neitzel is the best player though.

No chance he's #1 with guys like OJ mayo, Derrick Rose, and Michael Beasley. he won't even be the #1 big man with guys like Roy Hibbert and DeAndre Jordan

Koufos has a better shot at being a top 10 pick in 2009 though

its very possible he could be the #1 pick if he has a good season and good workouts. he is a similar player like a bargnani from what i understand. he has tremendous potential and will cause mismatches on defenders because he is a perimeter player more than a back to the basket player.
