Bill Self can rot in hell too. ******* slime ball.
I talk to some people who are close to the athletic department at Illinois and they said that Self didn't leave because Kansas was his "dream job." He left because our compliance staff wasn't nearly as lenient as Kansas'. There is absolutely no institutional control at that school (see Ticket scandal) and he gets to do pretty much whatever he pleases.
He, Pearl, Calipari, Matta and all the rest of them can choke on a dick for all I care. They're a disgrace and it's only a matter of time before they slip up (Pearl already did).
It's nice to have an honest man running our program right now who does things the right way and still gets results in recruiting.

Not trying to start anything here but how do you know he's doing things the right way? New things come up every year, sometimes from guys you wouldn't expect. Seems like dishonest recruiting is much more common than honest recruiting nowadays.

Because there's never been any smoke that he's doing things the wrong way.
Hell, there hasn't been anything close to be honest. And if it did turn out he was cheating I'd be first in line calling for his head.
Usually if you're dirty there will be the occasional rumor/article out there that you cheated. Bruce has been here 7 years and there's never been anything of that sort.
I'd bet on Zook being dirty over Weber. Zook was recruiting big time players with a **** program. Weber couldn't recruit despite big time national success.

Also, our AD is a no-nonsense old school type that does things the right way. He'd never allow that type of behavior from his coaches.
I don't believe Self ever cheated at Illinois, but I think he found that it was going to be a lot harder in recruiting because he'd have to play by the rules.

Gophers look pretty good so far won by 20 over Western Kentucky who should be a solid team this yea., Ralph Sampson looks like he's made some huge strides in the offseason which we needed he had 22 points 8 rebounds and 7 blocks tonight. Also Trevor Mbakwe has 3 double doubles in his first 3 games as a Gopher he was a great addition and should be one of the best rebounders in the Big 10 right off the bat. Our frontcourt should be good but Devoe Joseph being suspended hurts he was supposed to be our go to scorer this year, he needs to get his **** together and get back.

I'll gladly take Kyrie Irving all day everyday over the second coming of the holy lord down in Chapel Hill. Kid is still a stud just vastly overhyped.

And Weber actually went to UW-Milwaukee. Thats more of a connection than Slimeball Pearl has.

Yeah I'm not sure why everyone is surprised. We were an underperforming team with injuries and suspensions last year and we still made the tourney. We're a serious threat to win the Big Ten this year.

Rodney Williams absolutely DESTROYED one of our (UVU's) bigs trying to block him last year, and Tubby Smith is a good coach. I don't see how anyone is surprised a true freshman shot bad against solid D and UNC got beat by a solid Minnesota team.

Michigan State and Ohio State are the clear favorites. I think Illinois and Purdue are overrated. That leaves Minnesota as the 3rd best team in my mind, with groom to grow.

MSU and OSU are in a class of their own, though. One of those two is definitely winning the Big 10. Purdue is still better than Minnesota right now despite the loss of Hummel.

Rodney looks horrible on offense this year, but he sure can play some solid defense.

This I agree with.
They will be able to compete with the big boys but I would be SHOCKED if OSU or MSU didn't win it.
Maui Invitational is going to be awesome. I'm dreaming of UK getting to the championship game to play MSU.
This week has been spectacular for college basketball... As will next week. I love waking up and being able to watch it all day.

At the moment I would have to agree that OSU and MSU are in a league of their own, don't forget we beat Purdue by 30 in the B10 tourney last year with essentially the same teams. To say they're clearly better without one of their better players is pretty ridiculous. I do like Illinois this year I think McCamey has a legit shot at B10 POY but with our big men in Sampson and Mbakwe we can beat any team in the country this year and we should be in the B10 race until the end.

Larry Drew II is pure trash. As an ACC fan (and NC State undergrad) It annoys me to watch him on the field.
He's 2nd in the team in Min/G and one of the worst guards in Assist/G and Steals/G. His backup plays 10 min/G less and has better numbers in EVERY category.
Roy Williams is just stupid.

Because he is horrible on offense, his shot is just so ugly and he's a bad ballhandler. If he can play good D and run the floor though he'll be able to be a big help to this team though. He's the best athlete on the floor basically 100% of the time he's out there.
