Ben Howland is adjusting to his players for once. UCLA is still a crappy program as of right now. So is the Pac-12 Conference. There's a reason why top 100 players are starting to go to the Mountain West.

Most national championships = crappy program
UCLA and Arizona having 2 of the top 3 recruiting classes = everyone going to the Mountain West

I said it's a crappy program right now. You obviously didn't read the S.I. article from last year or my comment. That's two out of twelve teams. The Mountain West has a higher rpi than the Pac-12 for the second straight year.

So you say. You can't say that the 2013 class is better than the 2012 class until they actually play in college first.

Michigan going into hyper stupid mode when down late. I hope that isn't a pattern throughout the season...

Yes, a team that has won 9 straight including a win over #7 Mizzou is "crappy". They took a while to mesh, but that's pretty understandable. Which is why I told you 2 weeks into the season to wait to judge them, when you were already writing them off.
Before you say what I have read, I'm pretty sure I did read an article about LAST year's team. But apparently to you that's relevant to THIS year's team that has 4 out of 5 starters who weren't even on last years team. Good argument.
In regards to your comment, you said this:

You can say it was a better class of prospects, for sure. They might not turn out to be better, but you can still evaluate the class. Saying you can't say one year's class is better than another year's class is like saying you can't consider Kentucky's class better than Wyoming's.

You didn't read the S.I. article. It wasn't only about last year's UCLA team. It was about several years worth of UCLA teams.

He didn't mention them as prospects. Yes, the prospects are better. However, that means nothing until they play the game.

And how many players from those teams are on this years team? You continue to reference an irrelevant article talking about past teams, diverting from the fact that your own comments were in reference to this years team imploding due to the Smith and Lamb transfers. Keep trolling man...

He did mention them as prospects. That's obviously pretty much understood when the players in question are still in high school.

I think we all just need to do ourselves a favor and start ignoring ph9 in this thread. The last couple of pages are filled with everyone arguing against everything he says.

Ben Howland is still the coach there. He's still a dick; he's not changing his ways.
