I love Tom Brady. He's brought us so much. But he played like **** today. Didn't think what he was doing through at all. He got infatuated with the deep ball and it took him way too long to get out of that mentality. Telegraphed his throws and did a horrible job spreading the ball around. Completely atypical. I give a ton of credit to the Jets for making the plays in coverage that they did and MANHANDLING our interior line on the inside run, but there were open receivers today and he did not get the ball too them. Dropped passes were an issue as well.

To be honest, the offense **** the bed on this one. Darius Butler looked abysmal, but Brady trying to force it to Moss in triple coverage just became so vanilla and annoying - I really think that's what lost the game.
Which is why I said to trade Moss. The offense is so much more dynamic when he's just running routes and not being thrown at.

None of that stuff is open without Moss. If we traded Moss this year without a replacement, none of that stuff is open. We went through this already. It did not work.

yeah darius butler was terrible today, but once again, there were moments when no one was even close to sanchez, he had a lot of time to throw. defense is a work in progress right now, i guarantee you it will be much better at the end of the year. this team is very young right now, and these rookies will all get better and will have bigger contributions at the end of the year

It's the AFC East. It's going to be competitive. We're going to lose division games this year. It *******, *******, ******* sucks that we lost. I really feel like if we execute offensively, we win that game.
One positive is that Gerrard Warren looked like a beast out there today. Wilfork was collapsing the pocket on the interior and he was shedding and capitalizing. Could be a nice pickup. In the end.

What I wanna know is, why did we stop looking at Welker? He was tearing it up in the first half and we didnt even try going to him in the second half. Makes no sense to me, Brady just had that look on that told me we werent winning that game.
Also to me, pass rush did fine today. Looks alot better then last year by far. Butler really gave up anything they threw to his side.

Because when Revis went out, the Patriots thought they could just force it to Moss.
Hernandez, Welker, Gronkowski, Tate, etc barely saw any touches in the second half. Brady was locked into Moss and Faulk. He'd over-throw Faulk like he's 6'5" or something.

Deep deep checkdown doesn't work when you repeat it a bunch of times. Moss had an excellent game, but it would have been even better if the Jets did not know it was coming every time. We just did not adjust.

Yea, very disappointing.
I'd like to echo the thoughts on G.Warren. Doing good things already.
Butler gone burned alot but he's young. We all knew our CBs were gonna be a problem short term
Brady did force way to many throws to Moss but the solution isn't to get rid of Moss.
The solution is to say, "Brady, wake the **** up! There's 4 open guys on the field and one of them isn't Moss!"
Sick one handed catch by Moss for the TD

WTF happened to "60 minute men"?! **** me! And Butler looked a lot like Ellis Hobbs out there yesterday, can't say I was impressed. The whole team just folded... Soooo disappointed today. Jets deserved this one, our guys just weren't ready. ****!

I thought Butler did have a poor game but I think the defensive scheme needs to have a bit more flexibility. Butler just doesnt have the size to match up with bigger WRs whereas McCourty is more equipped to. I think just leaving Butler at LCB and McCourty at RCB may be exploited after watching yesterday's display

That second half was silly. Abandoning the underneath stuff in lieu of forced throws to a covered Randy Moss . . . yeah, that's seems like a smart game plan.
Cunningham got in on some decent plays. That was nice to see. Warren's play was very encouraging, too.
**** the Jets.

We were beating them with the underneath stuff too. They couldn't cover it. Protection was great all game too for the most part, in the passing games anyway.

I can't stand the Jets and the media around them. Sanchez did beat us yesterday, but it's one game. Now we've got to go through the week hearing SANCHIZE OUR SAVIOR SUPERBOWL!!!!!! God ******* damn it Brady.

I still can't believe a team with that much offensive talent playing against backup CBs (minus Cromartie) couldn't manage to get an offensive rhythm going.
It was among the saddest things I've ever seen.
Brady played like he was a rookie and Butler played like Ellis Hobbs.

I'm not too upset with our defense, outside of Butlers play. Get ready for a long season of that, the Jets did a good job of seeing something on film and just throwing it to his side. They maybe tried twice to throw at McCourty (<3).
That was not the Brady were used to seeing and this second half reminded me of last years second half against the Jets where we lost. What happened to Brady's bunch, Ryans game plan cant do jack **** to stop Welker underneath, hell even if he did we still have Hernandez who was playing very well yesterday. I really just dont get what Brady was doing.

The second half was brutal. We looked very good at the beginning, and got progressively worse the whole game. The Jets are talented but after yesterdays game I know we are a better team, we played terrible in the second half but we are very young and we will improve.

Booooooo!
Everything pointed to Faulk having a serious injury. That's terrible news.

THIS.
Brady seemed to zone in on Moss almost the entire 2nd half. I didn't like the playcalling, as I thought it was very unoriginal, but I think that was only part of the problem. Where was Welker in the 2nd half? Where was Hernandez? Gronkowski? Where was Tate the whole game?! I was very disappointed in the playcalling as well as the play of Brady individually.

Sucks about Faulk. Sucks bad. That might be his career at this point.

It might be, and what a career it has been. I'd like to see him come back, but it depends on how he feels at his age having to come back for a year, maybe 2 after this, if he even can come back.
What about his replacement? Woodhead seems like the logical choice as he was just signed, but I think Edelman may seem some time back there, although he can't be a great pass blocker, hell most 2nd year running backs usually aren't, nevermind a 2nd year WR who played QB up until last year.

Its going to be weird not seeing Faulk in on third downs.
However I'm still more concerned over the complete crap Butler gave us last weekend.
