Jared Cook is a FREAK!
South Carolina's WR/TE Jared Cook (brother of Jason, Ole Miss) put up CJ type numbers in Gamecock work outs. 6'5 235 lbs...ran a 4.37 40 and 37" inch vertical. Obviously, it's premature but, Jared has been drawing comparisons to that of Calvin Johnson at least with his eye-popping measurables.

So does that mean he gets drafted before or after Roy Hall did?

Cook is only a SO.
He still has some time... hopefully he has a better career than Roy Hall did.
Def. has nice upside and he plays in a great O to show off his gifts.

I will trust it when national scouts take the times, or at the combine.
School workouts everyone runs a sub 4.4.

In all fairness to Cook all the other times seemed to be correct... his times just really stood out.

There are actually a lot of wideouts who are measure up to Calvin Johnson in terms of measurables (Jordan Kent is another). Unfortunately, Johnson seems to be the only one who makes the spectacular catches and has a great sense of the position.

Exactly. A guy who can throw 105 mph isn't necessarily a good pitcher. I didn't see Gheorge Muresan lighting up the NBA. Just because a guy has a 10 inch......wait, n/m. Anyway, I still believe that Hockey teams should recruit 400 pounders to just stand in front of the net.

I've touted the merits of hockey drafting goalies out of some professional sumo league for years now.

The winning goaltender for the NCAA Champions Michigan State Spartans was 5 foot 6, 150 lbs. Still thinking about 400 lbs tenders?

Um, yes. A 400 pound goaley would be equivelent to leaving your stick in front of the goal in air hockey.

Not true. For if said 400 lbs goalie can't move, there is always a spot to pick.

"i think he is implying that the whole net will be taken up?"
So his legs are going to take up the entire width of the net as well? With such little agility in a player so fat, opposing players can dominate the 5 hole like woah

Honestly, I`m pretty sure that in the 100+ years of hockey some coach needing a goalie will have tried that. If it was succesful, everyone would be doing it by now
