Paulus should help UNC begin a new era under Butch Davis

What no Jarret Lee on the list?
Gotta go with Ryan Mallett, he's the best of that class.

alot of people are going to jump on the Jimmy Clausen bandwagon but Robert Mavre may be in the best situation for not only this year but the future (alot of speed at WR and a up and coming RB "Jarvis James" to take alot of the load of him.)the only thing is i dont think he will start for about 2 years but he does have a shot at being the best freshman QB.

So what? He's not going to play ahead of Chad Henne.

ya i think he is too... but he isnt gonna start next year unless henne has some injury. While he is the best, he wont make that big of an impact.... next year though, all hell will break lose

Clausen is supposed to win the first of his 4 promised heismans this year, so it has to be him.

Well who will have the most impact "this" year.
Flynn is starting and wont lose his job.
I think it'll be Clausen because he's the "10 year prospect" and won't lose his job no matter what.

If Paulus starts he will have a chance to do some great things. UNC has some really underrated WRs and pretty good depth at RB. They also have talent at TE but it is mostly unproven. Only problem is the Oline needs to improve alot.

You're misinformed. He already has 5 for this year, then he can win more next year.

I have read in the Chicago Sun-Times that according to Weiss it is still a three man race with Clausen, Jones, and Sharpley. Frazier is now the odd man out.

But didnt someone post that Clausen was/is injured and wont be starting at least for the first part of next year?
i still think Jones would be Notre Dame's best choice. maybe ease Clausen in. i wouldnt expect too much out of a true freshman QB next year if i was notre dame, even if he was the best QB out of high school in his year

Didn't he also promise 4 NCs? Kid's got his work cut out for him, especially since he doesn't play defense and ND needs D. :)
Regardless, the instant impact guy will be Paulus or Korn (most likely to play right away or maybe Clausen if he starts) but Mallett will have the best career
